Hôtel Restaurant le Saint-Christophe

Easy to reach, easy to park, very friendly staff. A decent breakfast is served (fresh bean coffee and fresh bread croissants). The (interior of the) hotel is a bit dated, but the room is spacious and convenient. Beds are of good quality. Restaurants are nearby. A safe bet.

We used St Christophe as a base for 7 days, whilst conducting a ski safari, visiting several Swiss resorts. Our positive experience was the staff who were all extremely helpful and welcoming. The restaurant was excellent and I imagine it is why most visitors come here. They stock a superb wine list and the whole dining experience is most a**ospheric, if a little pricey. However, the bedrooms are in need of an update and are somewhat below par. The lumpy pillows need to be replaced and our bedside lamp looked like someone had set fire to it. The real killer blow was a lack of hot water for 4 of our 7 nights – not what you need after a hard days skiing. Were it not for the friendliness of the staff, we would have moved elsewhere. I fear other travellers may not be so forgiving.
