We wanted to stay in Irondale rather than Birmingham and although this property didn't have great or CURRENT reviews,the description said that it was renovated in 2024 and no other property had a better review. It was indeed updated in some areas and our room was very nicely appointed with new upholstery and modern furniture but it was not clean. There was a layer of dust (construction?) on EVERYTHING and long, dark hairs on the bathroom floor. The window glass was filthy. The freezer was so in need of defrosting that the door would not shut and we were unable to refreeze our flat ice packs. I would guess that no one has stayed in the room since the renovation and the room had not received a post-construction cleaning. The elevator was very dirty,noisy, and a bit scary to ride to the 4th floor. The regular clientele is obviously traveling construction workers. Staff was very friendly but unprofessional.

We are traveling back home and stopped here for the night. It was worth every penny. Diamond was so friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic! Will stay here again as it’s halfway between our usual Florida destination!

Hotel is currently undergoing major renovation. Large areas of parking being used by equipment and supplies. Guest reception is set up on a picnic table. There were no hangers or handsoap in the room. The ice makers and vending machines have not been installed yet. None of the local channels on TV were operational (CBS, NBC, ABC). There were NO restaurants close by, only fast food type establishments (and those were over a mile away). Overall this place has potential, but IMO, not yet ready to host guests due to the undergoing renovations.

Right in the middle of construction. You should state this on your website . My room was “Remodeled” but ya forget many items like a working tv -internet should work … construction dust shouldn’t be present
Below average stay but of course full price and no response when I mentioned the above problems

My friend and I came in town for the Katt Williams concert. The room we go was supposedly a ‘renovated’ room. No way! There was no hot water in the hotel, the phone didn’t work, full trash cans all over the property. Not a really great representation of this brand at all. Oh gosh, the elevators are ‘Final Destination’ scary. Will say this, the young girl that worked the night of Feb 24-she mentioned she gets off at 11pm, she was really great. She was always professional with a sense of urgency when we complained about the hot water issue.

The hotel itself sits up on a windy hill so if you have an RV like we did it makes it pretty tricky however not too bad. The entire building is under remodel and construction however the room was very nice! Literally just what we needed after traveling so much! Bathroom and shower was great! They had everything we needed honestly the cleanliness and comfort of the room was top tier! Easy to get around and felt very safe! Staff was excellent!

The hotel is under renovation. It was dusty and noisy. They should at least indicate on their website that the place is on renovation. It was a one night stay so we did not bother looking somewhere else to stay for the night.
