The Royal Windsor Hotel

Clean and tidy room, quad with private bathroom, 2 double beds. Blinds on windows instead of curtains and not blackout blinds, which left gaps in so people could see into room. Tv and tea/coffee in room. No breakfast available as no chef currently employed. £50 cash deposit must be given on check-in which was returned with no problem after room inspection. Well stocked bar and karaoke with bingo was played on Friday and Saturday night. Parking available at £10 a night but looked a bit risky out the back so didn’t park here. Reception not always manned and can be a long wait for someone to come after pressing bell. No hot water on 2nd morning so it looks like the early risers take all the hot water. For the price for a family of 4 over easter it wasn’t as bad as some reviews.

Absolutely disgusted by the amount I’ve paid for such small room for 5 £270 for 2 nights and my daughter had no were to sleep had to sleep in her pushchair room was tiny went downstairs to tell someone the celling was pouring with water due to the rain never got offered any help to sort it had to stick a container I had under it and it was were my daughter pushchair had to fit told them when we left and all we got was it’s an old building does not matter weather it’s old or not it should be maintained properly to charge guests that price and also went to have a shower both nights and water was freezing ran the taps in the sink for 15 mins and stayed cold same goes for shower. The cups that’s left on the side were dirty aswell as cracks every were on the celling and window frames

We booked in and left on the same day due to how bad this place was. When you first enter, it looks nice but when I got to my room, there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling, marks all over the walls and the radiator missing the heating dial which meant me and my partner were roasting in our room.

I don’t know where to start. We came away for α little bank holiday treat but now i'm thinking it was an April Fools joke. To start off, they’re money grabbing ******. £50 damage deposit (and charging you for damage ALREADY in the room when you try to check out), paying £10 parking fee is ridiculous, cash only at the bar and to pay for anything. And the rooms? Can you even find the rooms in them corridors? Floor felt like it was about to break through any second, bedsheets were paper thin, heating wasn’t working all day so it was freezing, showers didn’t work and neither did the TV. Oh you booked sea view? You’re gonna be looking at scaffolding. The STENCH coming from those rooms was something else, why did every room smell worse than the other. Room was on α slant in room 37, extreme tripping hazard in room 31. Didn’t even book breakfast, none of us really dared try it. However, entertainment wasn’t too bad with bingo and kareoke and the drinks were cheap enough.

Booked 2 double rooms 1 room was OK the other had water dripping through the ceiling they were fully booked and couldn't move us rooms. Refused to give us a refund told us we would have to go through booking .com which was lies .the man behind reception was polish and kidded on he didn't understand worst experience I've ever had in blackpool in all the years I've been going won't b back at this hotel

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!! We booked this for New Years Eve December 2023. Myself, hubby & 5 year old daughter. When we arrived at the hotel we checked into our sea view room. When we arrived at the room we noticed a big hole in the ceiling on one side of the room and on the other water was dripping in also from the ceiling. The carpet below it was soaking wet and wind was blowing through the hole making the room extremely cold. We went to reception and another room was offered. We went to this room and noticed instantly that all the plaster was crumbling off the ceiling and wall straight on the children's bunk beds. Again we went down and told by reception staff the rooms all need some work but they had no more rooms. They promised us we could get a full refund as it wasn't our fault we couldn't stay there & we had to go find another hotel at 8pm at more cost. Now 2 months later I am still fighting for a refund. The hotel are stating that another room was offered but it was our choice not to take it. This is absolutely true because both of the rooms were dangerous to stay in but no other rooms were offered. We have tried calling the hotel, messaging and *********** have constantly been at them to get a refund but we are being ignored across the board. This hotel should not be open, its a disgrace. Awful Hotel worst experience staying in a hotel. I don't know how this Hotel is recommended by ***********. I have gone to many hotel and this is simply the worst experience ever. I wouldnt recommend that you stay elsewhere. They will take money from your account after you leave as *********** give them your account details

Absolutely disgusting room had funny smell broken window opener plug on kettle had mould on it. The bedding on mine and children's beds had blood stains the mattress was stained unlevel floor walking at an angle shower had no hot water hole around socket informed the .an on reception about this and they did Absolutely nothing no clean bedding or even an offer of a different room don't stay there it is a health risk.

Upon reading reviews and then not being able to get through to the hotel I was worried. We got here around 4pm All the car spaces at the back of hotel where gone there was roughly about 8, so I dropped my mum & the kids off at the front & then went to find parking, I struggled at first but then found a car park 10 mins away with a space it cost £16 for 24 hours so not too bad. I walked back & checked the room out, there was quite afew stairs I wouldn’t recommend if you have mobility issues. Upon entering the room I thought it was a good little size, we had the family room so there was 2 sides one with a bunk bed and one with a double, it was nice and modern couldn’t fault the room really, nice little spot lights in the ceiling, decent sized tele, but the view well there was just aload of rubbish scattered everywhere this needs cleaning up. Lady at reception was friendly, no bingo as someone was off sick & music was just being played at the bar downstairs, we didn’t go to the bar as we were watchin fireworks and going to the arcades. £50 deposit to be paid when you get your keys and is returned once room is checked and all is okay. Would I stay here again? Yes I probably Would, it’s Blackpool and I’ve stayed in worse. I was pleasantly surprised with the room we got after reading the awful reviews, again it’s always snobs expecting 5 star luxury for 2 star price. If you want luxury go to Dubai or the Seychelles. The only things I would say is sort the rubbish out and get a working phone so people can contact the hotel to confirm booking and any other queries that need answering, email didn’t work either. No lift here or stair lift, so like I say if your in a wheel chair or have mobility issues I would stay somewhere else. I have 3 children one who is still in a pram we just left the pram downstairs so wasn’t too bad for us
