Lovely, warm, friendly staff and big room. Had our evening meal here, it was tasty, it was a little on the expensive side for food but equally we had an enjoyable meal.
Loved being able to watch the squirrels and seeing the stars, and stunning views

Fabulous surroundings and a warm welcome by the staff. Rooms are stuffed with old furniture in keeping with the theme of the hotel. Dinner is fine but felt a matchbox sized piece of cod was a little tight for the price, but delicious and well cooked all the same. My wife’s salmon was perfectly portioned. The breakfast was outstanding. Only negatives were an early morning fire alarm, colourful language from the kitchen whilst in the lounge and absence of a blind in Murray suite bathroom. I suspect the guest walking the corridor was more embarrassed than me. The computer system had failed on check out but was easily resolved with a phone call later in the day.
