Gladheimar Cottages

Rooms are dirty and obviously sheets are not changed between guests. We found hairs on pillows and on bathroom walls. The room doors do not lock and the owner barged into our room without knocking and started asking how many people are staying in the room and that we move out (we were 3 persons in a 5 bed room). I did not feel safe and in order to sleep properly we blocked the door with one bed to stop further night visits. The room was pre booked and paid weeks in advance and the owner showed me to the room upon arrival, so there was no mistake with the room.

It was wonderful! The landscape, the peace, force of nature, and of course the awesome cottage, with hot tub and everything you might need! The Host and all personnel is very kind and gentle. Everything was perfect. Thanks a lot Gladheimar!!

Weloming and helpful host. Spacious warm cabin. Comfy beds. Hot tub! Perfect place to stop on our way around Iceland. We turned on the hot tub before we had supper and it was ready for us when we'd finished eating. Very enjoyable stay. Thanks!

It was a sweet warm Cottage, perfect for our small stop on our way to the North of Iceland. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. It had a Prive Bathroom ( the Showers were in the communal area but it was quite clean) Everything was clean. We had Cottage #2

These are great little cabins right off the Ring Road. Easy to find. Ours had plenty of space, a kitchen and large dining table. The cabin is a little outdated, but clean and quaint. The staff was very friendly, and when I asked if there was a place to do laundry, he offered to do it at no cost. I don't think this is a typical service they offer, so I greatly appreciated it, and it was done in a couple hours.

It was so nice. The host is amazing. We stayed in a nice cabin with a hot tub :) Beautiful surroundings and the cabin had amazing WiFi connection. Like, super fast! 5G connection. We just cant complain about anything! We are definitely coming back. Soon!

Very relaxing and quite place to stay. In the center of town so everything is within walking distance. Large commune room that I was able to work in and have a little meeting in. Very helpful and lovely host.

The main house where we stayed is beautiful, everything looked new and built with wood, looked amazing. Great beds, location and friendly staff. Will come again anytime. One last thing, great supermarket and at least two good restaurants around.

Habíamos reservado en junio 2024 una cabaña completa con dos habitaciones baño, cocina y hot pot privado para tres personas. Pagada desde hace 10 días. Ayer llegamos a la recepción y nos dicen que no hay cabañas disponibles y que nos llevan a una Guesthouse en la parte vieja del pueblo, y nos dan una habitación para tres personas con baño compartido. Aceptamos después de una larga y desagradable discusión con el recepcionista (un grosero mal educado) y cuando llegamos descubrimos que había otras dos familias a las que les había pasado lo mismo. Hemos pasado la noche en un piso de 3 dormitorios, en una mini habitación los tres y con un baño compartido para 9 personas. Me siento estafada, la verdad. A posteriori he estado leyendo críticas (ojalá lo hubiera hecho antes, pero solo miré en Booking) y este señor lleva con estas malas prácticas desde 2014!!! Espero que este comentario sea útil para futuros clientes y NO RESERVEN EN GLADHEIMAR COTTAGES
