Akkan Beach Hotel

Lovely place to stay with a family or as a solo traveler. Best location,wonderful view and nice staff. All is good!

El aire acondicionado no funcionaba , nos cambiaron a las horas después de hacerle entender al encargado que el aire estaba dañado. Excelente ubicación, en el centro de Bodrum a pasos de la playa privada, restaurantes y atracciones.

Bon emplacement, piscine et salle petit déjeuné très agréable, gentillesse du personnel. Cependant: nous avons été déçu par les chambres d’un standing tres modeste, hôtel vétuste, petit déjeuné quasiment exclusivement salé, la plage en face est sale (mégots de cigarettes, capsule de cannettes, bouteilles qui traînent etc) bref nous ne recommandons pas. Everything is awesome in this property. The room the AC is excellent, a very nice pool, breakfast was very good , beach is so nice and all the staff were so nice, I would love to come again

Shower clogged, Sink logged, AC barely cooled The room and the room was super humid. They are super particular about not extending check out or using towels at the pool, but no water in the beach shower and no hooks in the lobby bathroom, the bathroom was also filthy. Worst breakfast ever!! Dirty beach chair foams.

Property was right on the beach but property conditions were fair at best. We had no hot water for two days. Rooms were very small and provided blanket was very dirty. I’d stay somewhere else next time.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel and its amenities are great, the location was great, quiet, right in front of the sea and just a short walking distance to the center, and the staff was really really helpful and friendly, they even upgraded our room for a bigger, nicer room with balcony. Wifi, AC, and everything else worked perfectly. We also tried the hotel's restaurant and their burger is to die for. So delicious and for a good price! We traveled for 18 days total in Turkey and Bodrum was the place we enjoyed most. I wish we had stayed longer but definitely coming back to this hotel and to Bodrum.

I’ve stayed in Bodrum a few times in big resorts and other nearby hotels. If you are looking for something moderately priced in the harbor location (near the castle, diving boats and other boat tours, shopping and dining area) this is the place. Other areas may have a 30 minute drive by taxi to get to this area. Their beaches all vary as do the menus. The view and staff make the place a good choice. In addition, the breakfast buffet which was included was fresh with local choices and some cereals as well. This allows you to sample the restaurants in the area that have decent prices due to the exchange rate. Most restaurants want Turkish Lira which is available at all A**s or they take cards. Shopping is different as they are happy at accept Euros and American dollars. There is a hotel restaurant/bar that serves great food (also right on the beach). They have a small pool. Lots of grilled meat choices. If you are vegetarian, you will eat lots of salads and pizza in Bodrum. The room was clean and modernized. There are small signs of wear from the Agean Sea. My small suite was on the 3rd level and had a balcony with a sea view of the castle and Greece off in the distance. Great to sit out in the morning or to watch the evening sunset. A few English channels around channel 630 and up. I use Turkuaz for diving. They go out daily at 9:30 or so. Two dives (or snorkeling) and the trip includes lunch. Castle is within walking distance on the water. There is an ancient amphitheater (free entry) also within walking distance (but uphill and taxis are cheap). I had a small fridge and the AC worked really well. Outside to the left is a small market that sells drinks etc to stock your own fridge. A few waters are included in the room. Bed made daily with new towels. Hotel has two WiFis. One for the lobby area and another for the room. Both worked OK. On the upper shopping street there is a TurkTel flag store where you can buy a SIM card for your trip if you prefer. You need a passport for that. (Toward where the busses are.) I’m a solo female blond Traveller and this is a safe area.

A big thank you to the wonderful staff at Akkan beach hotel...Halil was extremely helpful in booking us a taxi and we weren't even guests at the hotel so it speaks volumes I am certain the guests here are well taken care of :)
