I booked this hotel on it's appearance that suggested it was a well cared for hotel not a neglected one.....only stayed the one night as I was passing through Boston whilst cycle touring. On that note I read a recent negative review regarding the closed bar on a Sunday. Whilst I can understand the posters complaint I can also say that it's entirely normal in loads of hotels in places I've cycled through, it's economic realism. First impressions were very positive, good well designed bar and eating area, the receptionist/barmaid was very friendly and checked me in promptly. I'd booked the cheapest room and didnt expect much only needing a wash & a sleep, it was very clean with a bigger than standard single bed, large shower, fast wi-fi and the usual tea & coffee supplies. I've no complaints. The hotel is an easy walk into Boston centre where I found a pile of interesting buildings from it's rich history, a bit of a surprise to me. When cycle touring I stay in a different hotel every night, it gets expensive even when trying to stay around the £50-70 mark, this is definitely one of the best ones I've stayed in considering the staff, location, ambience, cleanliness, I'm going to give it another try with my wife next month.
