Commodore Hotel by Greene King Inns

I don’t normally do reviews however went last night after a long drive for a meal with my Husband I have to say the meal it’s self was fabulous better than expected and front of house was second to none very friendly service staff all seemed happy the pub looked really festive no sticky tables with such a young front of house we were very impressed indeed we have booked in for Christmas dinner well done Green King 5 stars well deserved

Return visit to this hotel in an excellent sea front location near to shops and restaurants in Southbourne. Staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Bar restaurant is cosy and informal. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Limited car parking although street parking nearby.

Stayed 3 nights in room 11, a twin on the top floor. It was an absolute joy to wake up each morning to wonderful sea views (we left the curtains open at night). The room was cosy & comfortable, although floorboards very squeaky. Breakfast plentiful & delicious with full English included in the room rate. My brother was able to join us one morning and pay the menu price (£12) which was great. There is an easy walk to Southbourne High St down the beautiful woodland path known as Fisherman's Walk (right next to the hotel). The pub has a great menu with a good selection of ales and is not rowdy or loud. Enjoyed a few rounds of pool with my son. For those like me, who enjoy the format of a good restaurant pub with rooms above, you won't be disappointed. Yes, the place is showing signs of wear and tear, but it does not detract from the overall experience. And at these prices, jump in and enjoy. One day they'll probably do a full refit and the prices will triple because the location is perfect. Highly recommended. Looking forward to returning. PS. Ross the manager is very approachable.

Not sure which site to use they have 2 commodores in Bournemouth but posted to both the commodore and commodore hotel Excellent breakfast, very friendly and caring staff and they like a laugh and joke with you. Actually a really good breakfast all round! The fresh coffee is actually really good full of foavour and not too bitter

Lovely location, very friendly lady on reception, nice enough paved beer garden, that is the positives! First impressions count, the sign was missing a letter and a tidy up and a paint would not hurt, not a great first impression! In the bedroom every floorboard squeeked and the toilet/shower was VERY small. The breakfast was dried and crispy and for twelve pounds, not very impressive. I would have expected better from Greene King!!

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay for my birthday, cosy and very clean room. Staff very friendly and attentive. They couldn't do more to feel us comfortable and welcome. Delicious food, very tasty and made with Love ( it was a very busy football-night, well done to the bar-staff and the kitchen-crew❤) Thank you so much for a delightful stay, also a big thank you to the cleaners and housekeepers who are usually forgotten. What a delightful stay in this hidden gem. We can't wait to come back💕
