Brooklands Guest House

We stayed at Brooklands while visiting family and had a lovely time there. It’s a perfect guesthouse with plenty of character and the staff there are so welcoming. We will definitely be staying again next time we travel to the Lakes and we will be staying longer when we do.

Lovely traditional B&B. Karen was great. Room was very comfortable with a huge en-suite breakfast is exactly as you would expect location is only a 10min walk to bownes so very close One of the better B&Bs I have stayed in

Stayed at Brooklands with my 12 & 10 year olds for one night prior to a fell race in the area. The owners were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Showing us to our room and explaining the breakfast order process and inquiring how our journey had been and what our plans were. At this point, they very kindly offered to prepare our breakfast a little earlier than their scheduled times to accommodate us - which I did not expect them to do as I had clear view of their breakfast times before booking and was planning to grab something when we got to our race. The b&b is in a good spot. I found it easily, good space to park. After being in the car for a while, the walk down into Bowness (about 20minutes to the restaurant we had booked) was nice. We all had a good night sleep, the beds & pillows were very comfortable. In the morning we again had a nice chat with the owners, breakfast was lovely, good quality bacon and sausage and eggs exactly as we liked them. The children also enjoyed the cereal before their cooked food arrived. I had also mentioend that I had forgotten an item of clothing that I was planning on wearing, very kindly the owner mentioned that she had just popped one of what I needed into a charity shop bag, went and dug it our and it fit great - very much appreciated! We would return as we felt it was a good option for us and good value for money.

Stayed for a night, lovely hosts. Welcomed us from arriving. Pre ordered breakfasts, which did seem to work on the day. Cereal and toast ready for u followed by your full breakfast. Good night sleep, clean and comfy room. Will definitely be visiting again ☺️

Just checked out of this beautiful guesthouse and I'm sad to be leaving. We've had a great 3 night break in a clean and friendly guesthouse with great hosts. Karen thank you for your hospitality. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable and the breakfast was spot on and set us on our way each morning. Thank you once again and see you again soon

Lovely BnB, hosts are so friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they let us put our bags in and grab the room key so we could go and spend the day by the lake. Rooms lovely, best nights sleep in forever really comfy beds. Location was ok 15 minute walk into bowness, be careful as have to walk on the roads due to no path but was fine. We got a taxi back up and was £4. Breakfast was delicious, we was offered more tea,coffee and toast. Good selection of cereals to choose from. Would most definitely stay again thanks for a lovely stay

Brooklands Guesthouse has become our home-from-home. Comfortable rooms that are newly decorated and upgraded, great breakfasts and friendly hosts make for a relaxed and comfortable break. Much recommended.

We had a perfect stay at Brooklands Guest house, Karen is really lovely and very knowledgeable about the area which was great as she would give us ideas of what we could do for the day. Breakfast was very nice and it was lovely to be able to talk to other rooms and Karen and Andy at breakfast time . Rooms very clean and beds extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. We have just come back from staying at Brooklands for a couple of nights. We had such a lovely stay. Karen was so so lovely as was her husband. Such a lovely room and super comfy bed. Breakfast was great and karen realised I was a vegetarian and added a few extras in my breakfast. Will be back. Thank you so much.
