Coach and Horses Inn

Outstanding hotel. From start to finish. Staff were friendly and welcoming which after a long journey is the most important. The room was cleaned and well equipped to support your stay. They also supported us when our clothes were wet from the previous day. Food was a highlight here too. Everything was delicious. I’d recommend a visit here. It’s a must as it’s close to Penzance but quiet at the same time. You’ll need a car to drive here.

Warm welcome, shown to room 1, noisy due to being over the kitchen fan, Wi-Fi poor best. Was moved to room 2 which was better but room still tired, needs a revamp, wife dropped something on the floor which rolled under bed, when bed lifted it was filthy underneath, hasn’t been moved in years. Food in restaurant excellent as was the service, Breakfast very good, gluten free not very well catered for, no cereals available,toast served in same rack as normal bread and touching. Staff very friendly and polite.

Stayed one night here a day ago and must say room and bathroom spotless my only comment with room was bed comfortable but really low could be doing with being raised like normal beds also curtesy tray needs lowered as kettle wire stretched to max but apart from that great room. Also had our dinner and breakfast here and both meals were amazing me and my husband really enjoyed our meals and breakfast would highly recommend. Staff fantastic and very attentive had a great stay.

Great little stay - good value for money and super friendly hosts. Room tidy and clean with big en-suite shower room. Breakfast cooked to order and nothing too much trouble. very handy location too with bus stop over the road if you need it. Bed was comfy. No standard TV channels but could stream via wi fi

A comfortable immaculately clean room, not large, the super king bed takes up most of the room, small TV, tea and coffee facilities, WiFi not working but it didn’t bother us enough to point it out, small en suite toilet. Acceptable but not the most comfortable space wise. Breakfast though was another very good full English. Thick bacon, tasty sausage, mushrooms, egg, tomatoes, baked beans, toast, juice and coffee.

I don’t know how they do it, but the Coach and Horses manages to combine a quaint and charming environment with modern day comforts. Spotlessly clean, delicious food and a relaxing pub environment. We went for a 3 night stay over Christmas and we are so glad we did. The Wi-Fi was seamless, there was a hairdryer in the room, a full length mirror and a good selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were warm and cosy. They thought of everything, there was Cornish bottled water, some lovely toiletries, ample clean white towels and an excellent rainshower. We spent the evenings in front of the roaring fire in the pub, and the landlord and landlady were friendly and made us extremely welcome. This pub is truly a hidden treasure, it’s full of history, but sympathetically modernised so its charm is retained. We had the Christmas menu on Christmas Day and the food was delicious. The portions were large and everything was fresh, it was the best Christmas meal I’ve ever had… I swear the homemade roast potatoes were cooked by a god… our sincere thanks to everyone at the Coach and Horses for making our Christmas so special for us all xxx

The food was average. Had much better and had much worse. The food was presented beautifully but sadly wasn’t that tasty. Under the bland beef was one hard carrot and one hard floret of cauliflower. The roast potatoes were a bit hard, wasn’t very hot and a few French beans scattered around. The sticky toffee pudding was very dry. We ate it as were hungry but won’t be returning. There was only one other table eating on a Sunday lunch time which I think shows that perhaps the food isn’t as great as they think. However it could also be the miserable and rude manageress who could hardly raise a smile and was bossy and rude to her staff. She was also rude to my husband whilst at the bar. If we weren’t at a family event we would have called her out on her surly behaviour and attitude. We won’t be back and neither will the customers we were with.

Went for Sunday Dinner on the last night of our holiday. We had three roast beef dinners and one pork belly and all were delicious with good selection of veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire Puddings and the gravy was amazing! The desserts were also very tasty. Food wait was minimal, staff were friendly and polite, drinks were enjoyable and our only regret is we didn’t eat here earlier in our holiday. Heartily recommend and would visit again if it wasn’t 400 miles away from home!

What a great place, friendly staff, and some great real ales, they even remembered I didn't like a certain glass, Not loud just a great chilled atmosphere Food looked good, didn't have any but will next time we visit Great service Thanks for your hospitality
