I found this guest house such a nice place to stay. A bit near the station, but no noise from station through the night. No great outlook, but I did not stay in the guest house to look for views, I came from North Wales for a family matter. The staff are brilliant, so very helpful in every aspect, it made for a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was cooked to order (you choose the night before, but it is cooked when you go to the dining area) no “hot held” food. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels every day, what more could you want.

This was ideal for my business trip. My room was clean, tidy and well furnished. I had a double bed on the first floor. I liked the separate entrance to the hotel as I needed to work at night and this meant I could come back when my shift was done. Definitely worth a return visit. Handy for the station too.

Purely based on the lack of flexibility. I am aware they are within their rights, as I did use a 'non-flexible' booking, but on the rare occasions I have previously had to alter such a booking (this now the third time), the other hotels have always been accommodating. Rather than saying 'we are not able to alter your booking due to our T&Cs', the other hotels have said, we wouldn't offer a refund (fair enough), but we can change the date. This hotel just says 'no, its in our t&cs'. Thoroughly unimpressed with their attitude, and simply won't be booking there again.

First got to this house and thought wow how lovely. Friendly receptionist who made us feel welcome with a warm smile and very polite. Very clean throughout including the room. Comfy bed that I didn't want to get out of when my alarm got me up. Breakfast was well done and hot. Would definately stay again when I'm in the area

A little gem! Check in quick and easy! A lovely welcome on our arrival from Camilla. Lovely room, very comfy bed. Little fridge in room very handy. Perfect location. Will definitely be back next time we visit Brentwood!

Steep stairs difficult to negotiate with suitcases. Our second stay room really small and bed hard. The first room in the attic was fine once we went up 2 flights of stairs. Both rooms clean and staff polite /helpful. The price compared to other hotels in close proximity like the stairs steep. Really dislike being negative. But this is my opinion and entitled to it. Thursday/Friday night £153 .

Went here and stayed overnight as we were going to a car event. The staff were lovely and very Accommodating couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was fantastic in fact it was the best I have had at a hotel. Room had everything that we needed. The room was spotless and bed was very comfortable. Only down side I would say was the size of the shower room very tight space for toilet and shower . The room looked as though it had been refurbished with new smath tvs being put in every room. Will definitely be booking to go here again. Handy if you want a day in London without the hassle of travelling by car as you can leave your car at the hotel and walk down the hill which brings you to the train station. Would really recommend a stay here

Arrived to a very friendly receptionist who was helpful, we had booked two rooms for us and our friends and me and my girlfriend got a free upgrade which was a lovely surprise. We had room 1 the bed was huge and comfy we could both starfish on it. Room was clean with a fridge and tea making facilities. Breakfast for me consisted of the full English which was really nice. Would definitely stay here again if in town.

Thank you to all the team at Brentwood Guesthouse for an enjoyable overnight stay. A special mention to Theresa who provided excellent customer service from the first telephone conversation to managing the overall booking. The offer of an upgrade was much appreciated. The tea/coffee facilities in the room and fridge are convenient and cost effective. The only point for consideration is to organise a deep (intense) clean of the bedrooms. The towels and sheets are spotless however the areas around the edge of the carpets, inside cupboards and the carpet show unclean patches and build up of dust. The design and quality of the rooms are good so a fresh spring clean would be a benefit. It is acknowledged there are many conflicting duties managing a Guest House therefore all your efforts are appreciated. Overall a budget friendly accommodation with a sprinkle of good old fashion customer care where time is taken to have a conversation with the guests and answer all the questions.
