Great service in general but the shuttle service is a bit messy

Lots of good points. Food at breakfast and dinner was excellent and the staff were great.Nice bar for pre-dinner drinks. Our room was well equipped and comfortable with extra pillows. It was a good four star. The ski in -ski out is great amd unlike some other reviewers we were happy with the rental and ski shop. Negatives were having to pay €23 each to use the pool and loungers in addition to the €600 a night half board for the room. It should be included.

I've stayed at the White Angel five times now and not been disappointed. It's a quality hotel up the hill from Cervinia with ski in and out (onto a red run though!). Reception and restaurant staff have always been friendly and professional. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The shuttle bus means it's no hassle to get into the town even if you don't want to face the 20 min walk down, 30 min walk up. The spa is superb with an open pool section with amazing view. Definitely recommended.

Hard beds but what we found so disappointing was being denied access to the Spa / pool (fully booked) and being required to pay a hefty surcharge for a short swim. The hotel is expensive and you would expect the pool they advertise to be available for residents but it wasnt. The hotel is 10 mins drive away from the centre as well so you are cut off and overcharged - major disappoin**ent given the price

Another enjoyable stay at the White Angel Hotel during our skiing holiday. The hotel is located on one of Cervinia's ski slopes so you can ski out and ski in to the hotel. The staff in the hotel was friendly, professional and helpful. We are particularly grateful to Lucio who managed to arrange a room swap for us on arrival. Our room was clean and had an amazing view onto the mountains; the food in the restaurant was exceptionally delicious this year, especially the dinner which included a variety of tasty antipasti in addition to the main menu which changed every day. The red wine served with the dinner was very good and reasonably priced. My wife and I look forward to another stay in this hotel in the coming years.

There were some elements that were alright, others terrible. DO NOT RENT SKIS OR BOOTS FROM THE SHOP IN THE HOTEL. All the ski hire and spa are separate businesses which means extra costs everywhere (€25 for pool usage) Terrible: Ski shop in hotel: This was the worst part of our holiday. All equipment (even paying for “advanced”) was dated, broken. We had a group of 9, which between us had to change skis and boots about 20 times. One person had skis for one day that broke within about 20 mins of skiing. When we returned them (third pair this person had taken as others were awful and not what was paid for), we were told we would either have to pay an extra €150 or have the police called. The lady who ran the boot shop was miserable at all times and not available ever. Awful to experience and with the above incident our party in question felt intimidated, and scared. A terrible experience which when we spoke to hotel reception, they took no liability for the experience as was a “rented space”. Spa and pool: Spa was also a rip off which again is not mentioned on the website but costs €25 for 2 hours (inc mandatory swim cap hire). Don’t bother booking any massage trea**ent as was very unrelaxing as expensive but could hear everything happening in the pool and just left me feeling bored although the massage itself was ok. Hotel temperature: Rooms and all round the hotel kept on average at 30 degrees temperature - we had to sleep with windows and doors wide open and keep all open during dinner times. Just very uncomfortable. Ski boot room: This was ok, boot warmers in lockers a nice touch however very very cramped with very few seating areas to use or none at all during peak hours. Alright: Ski in ski out: Was ok, Red run down so not suitable for beginners and very mogully after 2pm so tricky to navigate. Wifi: Was excellent Rooms: Cleanliness was good and shower nice although shared balcony with needing to keep balcony doors open felt unsafe. Some of the staff: Frida behind the bar was great and always a pleasure.

Disappointed. Messy and unorganized check in and parking. Sewer smell in bathrooms. Overall bad attitude. A hotel that portrays to be one thing but can’t live up to what they portray. We’ve been to Cervinia several times and this is by far the worst hotel so far.

less than 24 hours before arriving the hotel sent a message canceling our booking due to a lousy excuse of not being able to complete the billing. any attempt to settle the payment or try to solve the issue was blocked with "this is not possible" response.

The bar, hotel, rooms, restaurant and all the staff in the hotel are absolutely amazing and so helpful. The only thing is that at peak times the small bus is not enough to get everyone down to the town should you be venturing out at night or not brave enough yet to ski in and out. My only criticism is the ski hire. Never ever hire anything from the ski hire place in the garage. It is pretty difficult to as it is always closed as the lady who works there is always on a break or outside smoking and the opening times are when you want to be out skiing. If you miraculously manage to hire equipment you will regret it. There is a poor range. The lady is rude and unhelpful and clearly hates her job. They have a very poor selection of equipment and most of it very old and clearly damaged and they don’t care. We were given helmets with dents in them, poles that were bent. Snowboarding shoes that were so worn that mid red run they ceased to hold the foot in. The ski boots were in such bad condition that I had to go up three sizes from my normal ski boot size and only after there were no extra sizes was I forced to take the boot she had given me, whereby the surly lady forced my foot into the boot manually and when I told her it was sore, this is life, she told me. Feeling intimidated and like I had no option I took them. When I headed up to ski school the following day I could not put them on and the instructor was horrified at the state of the boot and that anyone had forced my foot in and the amount of pain I was in to achieve this. I mean I know that ski boots aren’t a slipper but this was different level. I had to immediately hire new boots at the nearest hire shop which actually felt like slippers and have my dodgy skis altered by the shop who seemed a little distressed about the state of the equipment. The new boot felt like fluffy slippers in comparison and my friend who had boots from the white angel was jealous at how I slipped in and out of them and my foot emerged with no damage, bleeding or blisters. A hotel where the standard is so high in all facilities and staff the ski hire place and the thoroughly unpleasant human that works there is a real downside. When I returned my boots and told the lady what had happened on the mountain she just smirked and walked away. She clearly could not care less. The good news is there are plenty of very good places to hire equipment and easy to get to from the hotel, so don’t settle for it ever. Hopefully the opening times and the horrible lady working there will thwart you before you start.
