Hotel Ter Duinen

We, a family of three, stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Ter Duinen and had enjoyed a pleasant stay here. The room view overlooking at the canal is great and the surrounding atmosphere is tranquil and calm. We felt safe walking around by ourselves and the public transport is convenient too. Not to mention, the hotel owners are helpful and welcoming. We do enjoy the homemade breakfast, the decors, the flower arrangement and garden space, etc. It has been a 'home' in our journey and more than just a hotel. Thank you.

Even though I’ve stayed for just two days I wished I stayed a bit longer considering the warm welcome of Marc and staff along with such lovely hotel. Everything was perfect and they were so helpful as well. Note: After watching In Bruges I always had this dream of mine to visit the city and you should most certainly do as well, it’s a fairy tale of town!

Went with the family for a one night overnight and wish we could have stayed all week. This hotel and the owners/proprieters are incredibly warm and welcoming. Here are a few highlights: 1) Decor and upkeep - Everything feels high end, classy and new but with the charm of a historic and authentic building. The breakfast area with enclosed glass internal sunroom is phenomenal and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds were excellent. I slept like a stone. 2) Location - A short walk from the busier downtown area and situated facing a gorgeous canal, this place is easily accessible, convenient and quiet. 3) Breakfast - Believe the other reviews, the breakfast is fresh, flavorful and plentiful. You won't leave hungry. We had two teenagers with us and my mother-in-law and all of us loved the food. I'm not sure there was a single crumb left when we walked away. 4) Service - Absolutely above reproach. The owners take pride in the experience they provide to all of their guests, every question was answered and every need anticipated. 5) Value - Very, very reasonable rates especially given the level of the hotel. If you are at all debating whether to stay here or at another hotel, do yourself a favor and just book the reservation at Hotel Ter Duinen. This place is not to be missed. We'll be back.

This charming hotel in Bruges has the best breakfast that I can remember in a BnB style. Fresh from the market and so much variety. The location along the river canal was perfect for an easy after dinner walk that made me not so concerned about all of the Flemish stew and frites that I ate each night. I also felt more personal attention for a family of 4 than from any chain hotel, no comparison. I would highly recommend a stay and we are already planning our next visit.

Looking to TripAdvisor we settled on Ter Duinan as the place to stay. Nothing that was on the reviews we read was unfair but some bits we should have paid more attention to. Quirky? Absolutely. Being asked about a breakfast order on arrival was a new experience but it was lovely when we received it the next morning and did understand that we could change our order the night before if we wished. The rooms were comfortable if a little old fashioned but that could ne seen as part of the charm. Family run indeed (reminded me of an Irish Bed and Breakfast which is an genre of accommodation). There was a heatwave while we were there, though there was aircom available, it had to ne specifically requested as he had to turn it on specially and this took a little while.

The loveliest place to stay at. Marc and Leive looked after us with such care and attention from the moment we got there to the moment we left. The location of the hotel is really convenient, super close to the big Market square and right by the river which is lovely and well lit at night. The breakfast was amazing and they just kept bringing out more and more lovely food from their kitchen. The kids also thoroughly enjoyed it. the beds are really comfortable and the rooms are well maintained. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone willing to listen.

Small hôtel full of charm, located at a short walk from the citycenter. We've had an excellent experience during our stay. Nice clean room with not too noisy airco and bathroom OK. Breakfast very well and nicely presented. Pleasant staff. Private parking includes individual boxes for a faire rate, compared to parkings in town. Highly recommended!

Loved this hotel! Very friendly hosts, delicious breakfast and beautiful building. Rooms were spacious and clean.
