Baltazar Boutique Hotel

酒店的早餐非常簡單，衹是兩個牛角麪包一杯熱飲一杯果汁，另外的需要再交錢。 最奇怪的是，我們1月1號下午check in，可是在最後的賬單上面，顯示我們加了多份早餐，總共40多歐元，而在我們告知前台我們並沒有消費這個的時候，前台的服務人員SZONJA説她也不知道。因為那天不是她的工作日，不知道誰加上去的。所以她 Szonja衹能退給我們20歐元，這顯示是非常不公平的事情。

A cute and well-maintained hotel. At the reception, there's a very kind young man who tries to explain everything to you. I had a suite, so the room was quite large and well-equipped. Unfortunately, the room is very poorly lit in the evening. I understand that they want to create some lighting effects, but this should be a choice for the customer, not an obligation. The curtains can only be used for total blackout; there is no lighter curtain that allows for some daylight, so the neighbors can see inside the room perfectly during the day. Another negative aspect is that the WC light turns on automatically; especially at night, it's not very pleasant to be hit by a too intense beam of light when you need to go to the bathroom. A negative rating also for the "basic" breakfast included in the room price: very poor, and for two out of three days, it was not able to meet our requests. Even though they have a restaurant available, they couldn't heat up some water on the stove to make tea! However, for an additional 7 euros per person, you can have a richer breakfast. I would suggest increasing the room price by a few euros and not skimping on these details that make waking up less enjoyable. In the bathroom, when using the shower, all the water splashes out because there is no adequate insulation, even though they have installed an adjustable glass that should provide some protection, but it is entirely insufficient. The hotel's location is good, but you should keep in mind that it is located in the "upper" part of the city, so if your itinerary is not in the upper part, you will need to use public transportation or a taxi. One evening, at the end of dinner, we ordered four grappas that we thought would be complimentary, but they ended up costing us almost 50 euros... a real exaggeration !!

We stayed at the Baltazár for four nights and it was an amazing and wonderful experience. The hotel is situated in the castle district amongst some fantastic architecture. It is within a few minutes walk of the fisherman’s bastion and Matthias Church. All of the staff made us feel completely welcome and ‘at home’ particularly Daniel. Our room was very clean, peaceful and comfortable, and was serviced every day. The breakfasts were lovely, we upgraded from the Frenchy breakfast on a couple of mornings. The only point to note is that there aren’t many other bars or restaurants to choose from in this area, most of which are closed at around 7:30 in the evenings. This means either a walk or taxi ride to Pest. However, we would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to visit Budapest again.

Everything needed. A large room and bathroom with underfloor heating, really friendly staff in the lovely restaurant and a quiet location near to the castle. Great for site seeing and sunsets overlooking the river and city.

Baltazar Hotel is a great, cozy hotel! Our suite was on the top floor with a private terrace and was nicely appointed, comfortable, very quiet, clean and offered a view of the top of Matthias Cathedral (especially nice to see it lit up at night) and the Mary Magdalena ruin. The staff were all very nice and helpfu. It's located right on a busline that comes every 5-10 minutes so it's so easy to get around. We ate 2 dinners and all of our breakfasts there at their attached restaurant downstairs. All the food was really delicious and fresh. If you eat dinner there, save room for dessert! The somloi sponge cake is heaven!

Comfort, cleanse and stylish design of the suite rounded by special personal attention even prior the arrival and post care, within an excellent location gave a pleasant, special taste for the entire stay in Budapest.

Excellent place. Extraordinary service. Outstanding staff. A place in the heart of Budapest where you can feel home. Very good connection to all parts of Budapest. Surrounded by marveless restaurants. We will be back!

Baltazar is a luxurious and intimate hotel; friendly and helpful staff, both hip and cozy interior, very good bed and quiet at nights. Super location in Buda and easy public transport to Pest. We recommend to eat at this hotels restaurant, we had our best meal in Budapest here.
