Travelodge Reading M4 Westbound

Wasn't impressed to receive text whilst abroad to say if we checked in late our room could be let. We were flying back and couldn't guarantee getting there at 3 pm. Had to get family member to call to explain. There are 2 Travelodges, one each side of the motorway. We booked the westbound one. Both have the same postcode. Our satnav only recognised Eastbound side. Result was they couldn't find our reservation. Apparently this happens a lot. Staff redirected us so only a few minutes and a few miles delay. Our arrival delayed by difficulty at Heathrow,ie Terminal change and over an hour and a half hours delay before passengers could access luggage reclaim. Staff shortages. Arrived at nearly midnight. Only Costa open at services. However, staff at hotel helpful. Situation good and quiet despite proximity to M4. We were very pleasantly surprised. Room clean and plenty of space, bed comfortable, coffee-making facility welcome. Bathroom fine and water hot. Slept really well and plenty of choice for breakfast with services placed only a few yards away but not causing any noise problem at the hotel. Enjoyable stay. Pity about postcode confusion Maybe explanation to take westbound services turnoff given on website when booking would avoid confusion and save people being taken to the eastbound site. We were worried when satnav told us to pass westbound services but assumed hotel was approached by another turnoff shortly after. It would have made our arrival far less fraught to have been aware of the fact there were Travelodges BOTH sides of motorway. The hotel itself was good and gave us a comfortable night.

Excellent room, very clean and tidy

The whole hotel is refurbished and everything looks and smells new. As usual the gentle man at the reception was very helpful and customer focused ( Ranjiv) It’s a new dawn at Travelodge westbound M4 Reading.

The perfect experience i ever had. The staff were amazing and very helpful during the stay… I booked on behalf of my uncle and he really had a peaceful sleep

Stayed one night on a stop off before driving on in the morning. Clean, quiet and a comfortable bed. No frills budget hotel, but just what I needed. Also, lots of EV chargers on site, which was super helpful.

In view of the stress in actually locating this Travelodge I will never book with them again. It took 2 hours going up and down the M4 to find it

Friendly and Helpful Staff Specially Ashim! Room was clean, newly refurbished and has everything you need for an overnight stay. There is also a moto service station next to the hotel which is perfect to grab food for midnight snack and morning coffee. Can't go wrong with travel lodge.

The motor way hotel service exit was closed. I was lost for a hour luckily I called and Aim picked up the phone and guided me and help me to re route to the hotel. Ashim gave the best customer service. He gave me room fast as I was knackered and tired.

I have been staying on this Travelodge for a long time and every staff good room are always clean cozy and beds are really comfortable.Everyone is good in this hotel specially prajwal at reception who usually does night shift is really helpful he helped me with everything . I recommend this hotel to everyone hope you will meet this guy(prajwal)at reception
