Sehr schönes Hotel in einem Haus aus dem 16.jhdt.
Liebevoll eingerichtet, sauber, wohlfühlen.

An absolute great visit. 14 night stay. Family operated by really nice people. Helpful and pleasant. Room spacious and really comfortable. Nice no-frills furnishing and a powerful shower. Lovely gardens. Very centrally located in quiet location. Would recommend in particular to people in our age group, 70+.

I stayed here for a couple of nights when I was in Cadiz. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was lovely. The room was reasonably priced. The location is convenient for the old town. There is a lovely roof top bar which I enjoyed. I would recommend staying here.

A lovely old fashioned gem of a hotel. Friendly helpful staff and clean rooms. Great central location as well. The roof top cocktail bar was reasonably priced and a wonderful place for an evening drink. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for something authentic

Been allocated to an "inner courtyard room" by the front desk lady on arrival , apparently the last room because of our late reservation. The room was nice, but because of the sliding doors installed by the windows, it was impossible to open the blinds. Just the thought of having to have the electric lights on even on a sunny day and not being able to open the blinds was depressing. After only half an hour of our arrival I went downstairs to ask if, perhaps, we could have another room for our second night. This time I was met by PABLO (he was just starting his turn). Explained our frustration and he promptly provided me another room with a proper functional window and to the front road! I cannot express enough how much I appreciated Pablo's professionalism by solving a customer's problem in such smooth way. The room he provided was a 3 bed one (remember the lady said there were no more rooms available, probably she meant no more double ones), but he understood we were unhappy and solved the problem and made 2 customers very happy 😊.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the hotel. We arrived after midnight on the first evening, the hotel sent us instructions for access and everything was perfect. Our room was big clean and comfortable. The reception staff were so helpful. The roof top bar a delight for pre dinner drinks. It is easy to access the sites of cadiz by foot from the hotel. We would definitely come back to Cadiz and the hotel.

We visited as two couples for a three day break. The staff were lovely, the hotel authentic, comfortable with a great location close to a lovely square (for breakfast), walking the sea wall and picking up the open top bus. Roof top bar open on the weekends and a bonus

It wasn't easy finding an affordable place to stay for a stopover on our way to the Costa de la Luz. We ended up at the Alquimia. It was ok but a bit pricey for what it had to offer. The room was spacious and the beds ok. The location is nice, in the old town, we walked about 15 minutes from train station. We were looking forward to a drink on the terrasse but it was closed as it was a Monday, but there were several options nearby. We did not have breakfast here, I don't know if is offered. Altogether ok.

This is the second time we have stayed in Hotel Alquemia and were given a very warm welcome by Jose and Natalia Set in a restored XVIII century building, Hotel Alquimia is right in the centre of historic Cadiz. Its 50 meters from the beautiful Plaza Mina where we used to go for both breakfast (Choice of cafes in the square) and evening drinks. At the other end of the street – less than 50 meters walk is the sea and the start of wonderful walk around old Cadiz. Our bedroom was fantastic. Enormous – and had wonderful friezes on the walls. The staff are wonderful – so friendly and helpful I don’t think you could do better ….. and its great value. Jose and Natalia …… Manolo and I look forward to coming back to Hotel Alquemia.
