We took our parents on their first holiday in 28 years and were made to feel very unwelcome by a two members of staff. We had spent money every day in the hotel on food and drinks, but on our last day we were waiting for a waiter to come and ask us if we’d like anything, after waiting over an hour for service whilst having a chill on the beds my mum went to order our own drinks at the bar to be snapped at you haven’t spent any money, do you realise you have to spend a certain amount of money to be sat on the beds, have you not read the itinerary. We explained we didn’t know this as nothing anywhere to stated this and mentioned we’d come to buy drinks anyway, and hadn’t even been approached by the two members of staff, but all other guests had been, we’d only been back an hour from being out all day anyway. The whole week he was rude to us, he didn’t want to serve us on the evening we came down for drinks, I am pregnant and fancied a nice mocktail, which I asked for a strawberry daiquiri which I’d been having all week, but apparently he didn’t know how to make it and I couldn’t have one, so had to settle for a water because he literally couldn’t be bothered to give me any other options, whilst then carrying on glaring at us from his bar area. I have never been made to feel so unwelcome in my whole life in a hotel. The way we have been made to feel on our family’s holiday is horrendous. You made my mum cry, you ruined our last evening and we will be writing a formal complaint of everything to the manager. Also to the lady who was on shift with him needs to learn how to smile and not glare at customers from the bar area. Again, made us to feel like we weren’t welcome in a hotel we’d picked for our family holiday. Such a shame as we couldn’t knock all of the other staff and the hotel itself as they were lovely, and actually smiled on their shifts.
