Hotel Bahia

This hotel is the perfect antidote to the soulless, multi-storey white buildings you so often find in holiday resorts and has plenty of charm and character with beautiful lush gardens. The beach is a short 3 minute walk away and the hotel is based at the end of the main street in paguera, making the location relatively quiet but within easy walking distance of bars, shops and restaurants. Breakfast had plenty of options and is served in a buffet style. The pool and bar area are very well maintained and were cleaned daily during our stay. Hotel staff were brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble. A great experience.

My friend and I were really looking forward to this holiday and we were not disappointed. The hotel I’ve read as “old fashioned” I’d say it was quaint. Breakfast -very good Room- great and lots of cupboards, small balcony Cleanliness - spot on Bar and restaurant- again very good Pool and pool area/ gardens- clean and well kept. Staff - helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our 1st stay at the Bahia, hopefully it will not be the last. Great location as well near beach and promenade and local bus will take you into the Capital Palma about 40 mins. Great holiday ( sun shone too 🌞)

We chose this hotel for a 3 night mini break. We didn’t want a large commercial hotel & Bahia ticked all the boxes. Perfect location for paguera across the road from the lovely beaches & restaurants. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Rooms spotless & cleaned daily. Breakfast was fresh , plenty of different choices & different hot options daily. The hotel has old rustic charm set in a beautiful garden with lovely pool area & terrace.

Absolutely Delightful A hidden gem… first time here…we know Mallorca fairly well. Bahia is a charming and Classic hotel with simple elegance. Great staff with personal service. Food was really good especially the beef tenderloin. A really special find to celebrate a really special Wedding Anniversary. Precious memories. We will be back for sure. This is a wonderful hotel with a fantastic team. They made such a beautiful effort to help me celebrate my best friend's birthday! The highlight was Cyril's joyful breakfast rendition of Happy Birthday a la Frank Sinatra! The grounds are beautiful and the room was good if a little cosy :) Breakfast was great, and the pool was awesome, and just a stone's throw from the beach. But the staff really made it for me, I highly recommend staying here. Thank you Team Bahia!

We loved this hotel. It’s not the poshest places we’ve stayed but it is the prettiest, most interesting, most authentic place we have stayed. The breakfast was excellent. Lovely choice in an elegant dining room. The food at the downstairs bar and restaurant by the pool was incredible. We ate at some highly rated local restaurants during our stay but the restaurant food downstairs in the hotel was by far the best. We fell in love with the glistening tiles in the pool and the gardening surrounding the pool area were beautiful and varied. The hotel has an authentic, old fashioned feel (not your bland, shiny, modern place). We loved the huge variety of artwork around the hotel. So many pieces we discovered something new every time we turned a corner. We loved the wooden double doors to our balcony. The only negative was the shower head not being the best. We will definitely be back and would recommend this to anyone. Thank you.

A genuinely fantastic stay at an amazing hotel! The staff were particularly amazing- all so helpful and multilingual. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice and although we didn’t try it they also offered dinner. The room was everything needed in room and the location of the actual hotel was brilliant, with supermarkets, the beach and plenty of places to eat very close by. There was also a pool which was a good size and it had sun beds around it. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it too.

We really wanted to love this hotel but it fell short of our expectations. We arrived and our room wasn't ready which was fair enough as we had an early flight. We were told to come back at 1.00pm only to be told it still wasn't ready. When we did get our room it was small and dark. We knew the hotel was quaint and old fashioned with art work etc, as shown on the website and people like the hotel for that reason but we have to say we found it rather scruffy. The bathrooms definitely need a make over. Each day the bathroom floor was flooded due to an ill fitting glass panel over the bath. there was also no raiser rail in the shower so the head couldn't be adjusted. The towels were a mixed bunch, some ok and others virtually threadbare. The room was incredibly small but for some reason someone thought it would be a good idea to put 3 chairs in it and a table. we were on the ground floor and had a small patio area with two uncomfortable iron chairs and a small round table. our view beyond the small patio area was gravel covered in weeds. We went for a walk around the gardens to find it was a dumping ground for old mattresses and beds. Not something you want to look at. There was a fridge which was handy. No kettle but we asked at reception who quickly provided one and cups. Pool towels were also available from reception. the safe was chargeable at 3euros a day. The pool area was ok and never any rush to get a sunbed, however there were broken and raised tiles. particularly in one corner. There are also chairs around the pool and bar area but majority cast iron and some quite low. They had white cushions on them which considering it was early season when we were there were incredibly grubby and needed a good clean. there were more comfortable multicoloured chairs under cover by the bar. We were half board but this in our view was a mistake. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Evening meal was very limited with a choice of 3 fixed starters and either fish, meat or vegetarian for mains. These were waiter service. Only the dessert was buffet with not a great deal of choice. The majority of food we had was good but just so limited. Very few people stay at the hotel for evening meal. The one thing we must say though is that all the staff we came across were excellent. very helpful. It's just not a hotel we would return to.

We stayed at hotel Bahia in September on a B&B basis - hotel is dated but fine - breakfast was honestly woeful - I can always get something as I'm not too fussy but honestly there was no choice and very few hot options - owner seemed put out if you asked him for anything - each day the chat around the pool was exactly the same for all the guests so im dumbfounded by some of the other reviews !! By all means stay at hotel but ROOM ONLY
