My stay at Quinta da Saraiva was truly enchanting. Located in Câmara de Lobos, this picturesque estate provides an atmosphere of calm and serenity while offering easy access to the attractions of Funchal and its surroundings. We recently stayed at Quinta da Saraiva during our visit in Madeira, and it surpassed all our expectations. The exceptional service, stunning views, and delicious breakfast made our experience truly unforgettable. The hotel's service was impeccable. From the warm check-in to the attentive staff throughout our stay, we felt welcomed and valued. The location of Quinta da Saraiva offered breathtaking views of Camaro de Lobos, especially the beautiful view at sunset. It is possible also to relax in the pool or jacuzzi. Breakfast was very good, made with country eggs straight from the hotel farm Overall hotel was elegant with a traditional accent. We certainly appreciated peace and quiet. The rooms are very cozy with sunset balconies We highly recommend Quinta da Saraiva if you are looking for a rest in peace and quiet combined with perfect view and good standard hotel ☺️

The place feels like home. For us, this was the perfect accommodation in Madeira. It's close to the airport and all Madeira sights for an active vacation, but if you just want a quiet, intimate vacation, this is the most perfect location. The breakfast was amazing, and it was served outside, so we ate with the great view of the ocean and the hills. The breakfast was very complete, with selection of fresh breads served on a platter every day accompanied by fresh fruits, cheeses, little sweets, or eggs made in different way and coffee, or tea. Very clean, with all you need for a good stay: fresh towels, towels for using by the pool, toiletries, daily cleaning. They provided a hairdryer which I appreciated. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely. The staff is very friendly, kind, wonderfully helpful and professional. They organised a rental car at short notice and our dophin watching trip before we arrived.

Stayed at the Quinta for one week in May and was more than happy. The room had two balconies which both had outstanding views and a large extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast fab with a selection of breads, meats, cheeses, fruit, juices and cooked mushrooms, bacon and eggs if required. They went out of their way to accommodate us with our request for tea and coffee in the room, but it really is the view which is breath taking, to watch the valley light up in the evenings is something to experience. It was too chilly to use the pool, but I can imagine it is very inviting in the warmer weather and access to the VR1 to explore the island is a breeze. Great places to eat in walking distance including O Pasto and O Polar and of course Camara de Lobos (with quaint harbour restaurants but also two particularly good places to have cake and coffee near the church).

Firstly, I couldn’t recommend Quinta da Saraiva highly enough.. 5*s for service, cleanliness, location, views, breakfast and decor. Now to the detail.. Quinta da Saraiva is a beautiful old colonial-built family home, which has been tastefully renovated to create an inviting, small, family-run 13 bedroomed accommodation for holidaying guests. The Quinta is perched high on the hill above the wonderful fishing town of Camara de Lobos, and approx a 15 min drive to the main capital Funchal. You’d need a car in my opinion as the island of Madeira is so beautiful, with so very many places to see, a car is a must to see as much as you can..and, the Quinta is beautifully placed fairly high up to offer outstanding views of the sea but is quite a walk back and forth without a car. The rooms are all quite different and so there is something to suit most budgets, we opted for the stunning direct Sea-view with balcony for the first 7 days and moved to the lesser priced side-sea view balcony room for the last 3 nights of our 10 day stay. It was nice to have a different perspective and a change of scenery and meant we could also benefit from morning sun those last 3 days. The Quinta also has suites and larger rooms with dual balconies which would be amazing! Breakfast is served every morning from 8:30-10:30am and mix of fresh fruit, peeled and sliced for ease, wonderful Madeiran bread & pastries, cheese, hams, salad, coffee, tea, freshly squeezed orange juice, muesli and yoghurt with honey, hot food.. such as eggs and bacon - literally everything and all served to your table so no queuing at a buffet - perfect! Nélia the head housekeeper is outstanding with her service of breakfast, always with the biggest smile and happy to accommodate anything you ask (within reason!). We really did appreciate the amazing service from Nélia and Laura so thank you. Lastly but definitely not least, is Diogo, who is such an asset to this property as Front of House - he is incredibly helpful, from booking car hire, to sorting rooms, helping with general questions and booking restaurants. We’ve had an amazing time.. thank you to the Quinta da Saraiva Team!

Fantastic hotel with good facilities in a great location. Particularly friendly and hospitable staff. Lovely room (good beds) with kitchenette, nice shower and everything spotlessly clean every day. Balcony with beautiful view. Everything tip-top in order here! Really recommended
