We loved the hotel and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
We were upgraded to a room with a river view which was an unexpected treat.
Food was good , particularly the breakfast.
The only ****** was the distance from the city but we used Ubers which were fast and reliable.

This is a lovely quiet little hotel on the River Douro. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel restaurant is incredible, both for the breakfast buffet and the dinner options. The rooms are not large, but the balconies open up the rooms quite a bit. The rates were excellent. My only real complaint is that it is not with walking distance of anything, and guests will need to use a taxi or car service to get into Porto proper.

The hotel is impeccable. The staff and food are excellent! We have been traveling throughout Spain and Portugal for the past three weeks and this is the nicest hotel so far! Truly recommend it.

And old converted perfume, candle and soap factory with totally unique front desk area featuring old products and things made to produce those, with great views of the river (and many rooms with those). Great price. Probably need a taxi etc to get to town

A couple of days for Christmas and what a treat. Staff were amazing food was spectacular - great stay.
