Carroll Villa Hotel and Mad Batter restaurant are true Cape May gems embodying the Victorian spirit 5 star accommodations and responsive friendly housekeeping and front desk Mad Batter a must for breakfast and dinner Remains our favorite place to eat for 40 years Ask for Sue when being seated

Liked everything else but the biggest disappointment was the walk back and forth to the municipal lot numerous times because the shuttle was in the shop. All of us, 3 rooms, 5 people are all in our 70's. Walking is good but the number of times back and forth left a bad impression.

We love the Carroll Villa hotel. Our room was located by the cleaning closet (#8) so I wouldn't get that room again (too noisy in the morning) but other than that, our stay was very pleasant. While other B&B's provide a free breakfast, Carroll Villa provides you with a 30% off dinner entree AND $30 off for breakfast at The Mad Batter. We had dinner and breakfast there and were thoroughly pleased with the food and atmosphere. We're not the only one who like the food. The place was packed on Sunday morning (with a lot of locals which says a lot about the food) but were able to get 2 seats at the bar. Would stay there again.

Went for a 3 day getaway with my husband. Love the character of the Carroll Villa, place, nice room, clean and cozy, decent size updated private bathroom. Friendly people and if you book directly with B&B they give you $30 coupon for breakfast each day you are there at the attached Mad Batter restaurant, delicious breakfast. Will definitely be back!

This was our first visit to the Carroll Villa and we were extremely pleased. The location is in walking distance of everything. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The Mad Batter restaurant was excellent for breakfast, dinner and cocktails. The meal vouchers were a pleasant surprise and definitely go hungry.

We had a lovely time at the Carroll Villa Hotel. The staff was warm, welcoming and accommodating to our needs. It's location on Jackson is prime for all activities in the hub of Cape May. They have spacious, clean and up to date rooms. The Mad Batter restaurant is delicious and their portion sizes are extra large. I liked the fact we had so many choices for breakfast each morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Another great visit in Cape May at the Carroll Villas. Once you step in the door, you feel welcome. The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious and n8cely appointed. The restaurant on site, The Mad Batter, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus a bar with music and happy hour. The food is great and when you reserve directly from the Carroll Villa, you receive great perks. We can't wait to return in the fall.

The place is nice. Employees are very accommodating. Restaurant is good. Breakfast, they give you a lot for your money. French toast is delicious! Rooms are very clean. Service is excellent! Nice wine list & cocktails.only down side is the parking a few blocks away..

Stayed for 2 nights on a journey south to a wedding, we had a beautiful room, the hotel was so interesting as it is an old building with many original details. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was updated with heated floors!!!! We had breakfast in the restaurant on the first floor, it was delicious - included in room rate. We had drinks in the bar, there was live music, comfortable atmosphere. Just know there is no elevator if that is something you need.
