The Villa Rosa Guest House & Self-Catering Apartments

Very nice, quiet place just from walking distance to shops and sea. Especially the food was also very good. Thank you all for the hospitality and all the nice tips for restaurants and the things to do.

This is a great traditional and old style property in Cape Town. Although the property is not that close to the V&A Waterfront, it is easily accessible by short taxi ride, and those taxi's are cheap and easy to access. The nearby front of Sea Point is a short walk away, with shops and restaurants. The property is well kept, the staff are great, and the local area is pleasant. I would say that the windows of the rooms could do with some attention, and I would recommend asking for an upstairs room, but other than that its a great property.

We stayed in the 2 bed penthouse apartment in Cheviot Place and were absolutely blown away by the service received from start to finish. Chelsea was incredibly accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we were well looked after. The beds & pillows were super comfy, the decor throughout the apartment was modern and warm. The location very central to where we wanted to be, it was everything we expected and more, the pics also don’t do the place justice. Thank you so much Chelsea & the Villa Rosa team. We will definitely be back soon.

Apart from the location being very central , the rooms were immaculate, extremely comfortable and perfectly clean. The breakfast was superb and well presented. I received impeccable, and friendly service. I definitely be back!

This hotel is an absolute gem of a find . Have stayed here before and the welcome from Chelsea Steven and the staff makes it feel like home . Beautiful old lady of a building , decorated with taste and style , giving great ambience with a front garden to sit and read and another smaller one at the rear . Daily breakfast a delight with a main cooked breakfast eg Eggs Benedict with home made muesli , fruit , often home baked bread , made by the wonderful David and home made jam . Great location , easy walk to the seafront and in to the thriving SeaPoint where there is a really great selection of restaurants and shops . Thoroughly recommend, a great favourite and find

We had a lovely time at The Villa Rosa. We had a self-use studio suite that worked perfectly for our purposes. The room was very sweet and well-maintained with a good bed, drawers, and closets. We loved the little patio attached! The kitchen was a bit small, but well stocked with appliances and plenty big enough for casual use. As our studio was self-use, we didn't interact overly much with the staff, but they were very nice and helpful when we did. We really enjoyed the location: Sea Point is a fun beach-town area with lots of great restaurants and easy access to the walk along the beach. The Villa is a quick walk to the beach (＜10 min) and the main coastal path. Of course, we knew about the load shedding and were aware that the venue did not have a back-up generator so were prepared with our own chargers. They did provide a light that switched on when the power went out, which was useful. Our only notes were that the walls were a bit thin, and it was a (small) shame that the self-sufficient studios were not within the main house as the main house is lovely and is what drew us to the venue. All in all, neither of these really negatively impacted our stay, and we had a great time.

Lovely quaint guesthouse in convenient location in sea point . Beautifully furnished rooms with ours (room 10) having the added bonus of a private adjacent balcony . Great service by Chelsea and other staff . Lovely breakfasts with plenty of choice

Staff were all excellent, in particular Chelsea was most informative and helpful. The dissadvantage to the room we stayed in was the lack of privacy between the bedroom and ensuite as there is no proper door between the rooms. Instead there is a pair of badly fitted wardrobes doors with a 3inch gap at the bottom. The shower was dated and needs upgrading.
