I never thought I would ever write a Review like this one and have such a bad experience ever. Luckily we only stayed for one night and that it wasn't on my birthday, otherwise my whole day would've been ruined. We came the next day following my birthday to come and celebrate and just relax. I booked the Reopening Special and made payment on the 11 July 2024 already. We arrived at the hotel on the 30 August 2024, for check in at about 14h50. We waited in a queue for a few minutes as it was quite busy. We were assisted, payment for parking was made at 14h55. We couldn't wait to go our room and just take a rest, only to find out that our room was not ready. How is it that check in time is 14h00, but although we arrived later the room was still not ready? We were told to take a seat in the waiting area for a whole 1 HOUR before going to our room. Thanks to Edward who offered us complimentary drinks and tried to sort out everything, but we were not at all impressed with the service we received and started getting restless and frustrated having to wait for so long for a room that was booked and paid for well in advance. Who waits for so long? Our room number had to be changed eventually from 1214 to 1402 for them to accommodate us. Highlights was taking the bus to Waterfront just to relax and to enjoy our time even if things did not go so smoothly. On arrival back we enjoyed some snacks in the foyer. Our snack platter and bottle bubbly was waiting in the room with a microwave that I asked for. Also when making booking I requested that I want non alcoholic bubbly or juice, but I had to call front desk to have it changed to a Grapetizer. The water in the shower and bath was between cold and lukewarm, which was so unpleasant and meant we couldn't enjoy a hot bath/shower just to freshen up. Then it went from bad to worse at breakfast. The lady at the Egg Station was not helpful and had a bad attitude. We asked her to make 2 omelettes and scrambled eggs for our daughter which she then showed my husband the scrambled eggs that was already prepared. We were there previously and knows that she does not like the prepared scrambled eggs, hence we asked for one to be made. She heard when I told my husband that our daughter won't eat that scrambled eggs, the lady should rather prepare a fried egg. She just shook her head. He told her to make 1 fried egg, but she deliberately ignored him and went on taking the other guests orders. My husband had to stand at the back of the line again where she again gave him attitude as if she is doing him a favour. My husband ended up having to eat cold breakfast and my daughter a very dry fried egg which she did not enjoy at all. We reported the incident to Edward and he assured us that he will report the the Food & Beverage Manager. My husband is so disappointed with this bad experience and he has decided we should never visit this Hotel again. We have been to many hotels and this was the worst experience that we have ever enco
