The best place to stay...central to everything, right on the hop on hop off bus route, free shuttle to Waterfront every hour, amazing breakfast AND dinner. Very clean and super friendly staff. The best is the Utopia spa on the 1st floor of the hotel. They have a massage special that everyone coming from a long flight must indulge. Lelo was my massage artist and was the absolute best...and I have had massages in the US, Europe and even Thailand.

This hotel is popular with everybody: small and large tour groups, families, business people, I even saw Emirates flight attendants checking in. The rooms are clean and the bedding comfortable, but the furniture and carpet definitely need to be refreshed as they are very dated. Breakfast is worth paying for as it is buffet style with a good variety of food. Pro tip- if you want to avoid having breakfast with the large tour groups, check their schedule which is posted on a white board by the main entrance revolving door. The hotel, despite its name, is about 10 to 15 min walk from the V&A waterfront. To get to the waterfront there is a pedestrian bridge that you have to cross. It's safe and the area is busy with tourists and locals, but I did see some squatters using the bridge as shelter and city staff cleaning the area. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to the waterfront, which I recommend using. You can check its schedule at the front desk, but generally it runs 9 am to 10 :00 pm, and leaves on the hour from the hotel, and every half an hour from the waterfront. I highly encourage you not to miss the last shuttle that leaves the waterfront, usually at 10:00 pm as even safe touristy areas can become dodgy after dark when everything shuts down.

Ice size room, great room services, decent breakfast, excellent onsite restaurant. Fast and quite elevator. Great shuttle bus services to the water front mall where great restaurants and shopping are available Lack of elec.outlets, poor sound insulation. You may want to stay at higher floors because the noises from the streets.

Great hotel - fantastic location. Our recent stay was outstanding. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in making your visit great. Every aspect of our stay was perfect. For example, we needed some confirmation on foods for dietary restrictions - staff were available at all times to guide us through the food options. The chef even prepared special dishes - just without flour. We’ve never had such attentive care … anywhere. The chefs and wait staff went out of their way to help. Room was extremely comfortable and well appointed - we slept great every night. Concierge desk and reception desk were helpful and gave great advice on safety, sites, special tours…anything you needed.

Very comfy beds and pillows. Breakfast excellent choice and very tasty. Shuttle bus to the waterfront, very good and reliable. All staff very friendly. Currently have building work going on yes it’s noisy but it’s also necessary and as we were out all day, it did not affect us.
