The hotel is classic style and centrally located in Cartagena. There is a very beautiful courtyard and roof terrace overlooking the city's central square. The rooms are nice and functionally perfect. The hotel is very well run and the staff is friendly and very helpful. Not least the breakfast is excellent.

The hotel is in the perfect location right outside the walled city but not in the thick of it. The pool is alright but mainly I'm giving 5 stars because the beds and rooms were comfy, the breakfast was delicious, and the front desk was so accommodating to our needs.

This was truly a great experience. The hotel is very old colonial style with beautiful decor on the inside. Shower in the room is heavenly! The real bonus for us was the rooftop with bar/terrace overlooking the big square and old town below where you can watch the crowd go by and enjoy the sunset. There also is a roof top pool with enough sunbeds and a great atmosphere.

heavy construction around the area which is out of control of the property. but it is located right on the town center where there is major traffic including the party buses. so it is quite loud.

Nice hotel in the heart of the city within walking distance of pretty much everything. Only complaint would be the construction going on outside, but aside from that everything was great !

I don't fault the hotel for construction going on right outside the hotel, it needs to be done. What really set me off was when I tried to check in, after confirming TWICE before arriving, being told everything is OK, they tried to give me a room that was NOT what I reserved. They had the nerve to tell me, "well, that's what happens when you don't book directly with us." Not a good way to start my trip. After having to raise my voice and express my disgust with everyone watching, they gave me a room that was only a little better than what I was getting when I first arrived. It was NOT the room I booked and confirmed. The hotel smelled badly everywhere outside the room. Really treated poorly. I won't be back again.

This hotel is perfectly located, the staff is friendly and helpful. However there is a huge construction project happening all around the property. As well the pool was not open for the duration of our stay and we were not notified beforehand. I would call ahead to check if that was a selling point for your visit and make sure it will be available or if you can get a room where there is not a full blown construction site outside your window.
Once the construction is completed this hotel will be the ultimate gem.
