Hotel Plaza de la Trinidad

las fotos no hacen referencia a la realidad, es muchisimo peor. Cuando llegamos al hotel, nos dijeron que la reserva no existía, que ya no trabajaban con esta página. Luego nos quisieron subir el precio, cobrándonos más, por habitación de peor característica. El AC no funcionaba bien. Las habitaciones tenían agujeros de decoración en las paredes, que con un AC que no funcionaba bien, hacía que la pieza fuera muy calurosa. Mala atención.

This hotel is a ripoff, they don't honor their reservations. AVOID THIS PLACE! I booked this hotel and had a confirmed reservation. I sent one of my team members to the city for a convention and when she arrived they sold the room out from under her to a cash buyer, leaving her stranded! These people have no integrity, be warned!!! ¡¡Gran estafa! sin honor, sin integridad. No entienden concepto de una reserva, aviso: ¡Son estafadores!

I went to this place for a few days. This hotel is small and rooms are basic are in a good condition. The location is very good. It's only a few steps from Trinidad square which in the evening is very lively with street food and dancers. The staff despite speaking only Spanish is helpful and we manage to understand. There's a small pool in the courtyard were you can take a dip during hot days. The major landmarks of the city are reachable by foot from this hotel. Overall this hotel is ideal for its location and also for a good price.

I didn't like tha the bathroom was flooded and we had someone come to fixed it 3 days later, leaking from everywhere.. no one assisted until later

Loved the Santorini styled building with the little pool in the courthouse a lovely bonus. Very confortable room and the total hotel was always very clean. Wifi worked great and employees very helpful and friendly. The location was great.

The property is located in Plaza de la Trinidad. Lively place but can be noisy at night Staff were friendly and accommodating , the property is very clean

Don’t expect a lot of warmth and hospitality from this staff. Breakfast is not always served, only when they feel like it. I waited for 20 minutes for breakfast while the older woman who works at the front desk sipped coffee, watched me and chatted with other staff. I finally left and got breakfast outside. Also, they went into my room to check if I had turned off lights and ac right after I checked in without my knowledge. Since they don’t provide a safe, it would have been nice to get a heads up, but then again, no one here speaks a word of English.

On Dec 12, I booked a room through a well known travel website that was shown on TripAdvisor with rates for Hotel Plaza de la Trinidad for Dec 28-Jan 1. I also emailed the hotel at their email address on Dec 12 asking to confirm the reservation. I never heard back from them. I arrived a few days early in Cartagena and I walked to the hotel to confirm my dates for Dec 28-Jan 1. They said they don't have my reservation and that they are fully booked and my reservation for Dec 28-Jan 1 will not be honored. I showed them the email on Dec 12 and confirmed it was their email address. They just stared at me with no answer why they didn't respond to my email. They called the owner and they promised me they will message me and help me find a new hotel because their is almost 0 availability and what is available is 5x the price. It's Dec 30th and I never heard from them at all. No service and no support. I cannot recommend this hotel at all. They left me in a terrible situation when they could have just responded to my direct email on Dec 12th and said the room booking is not confirmed. I do not think is how you run a hotel or treat people who are visiting. Answer your email. Keep your promises.
