Hotel Huize Koningsbosch

My husband and I spent 3 delightful days at the Huize Koningsbosch. We wanted a place surrounded by nature for a few days following a week away before returning home. The attentive staff was delightful, informative, and treated all guests with great care. Lois welcomed us during our check-in with a refreshing flavored water which guests can serve themselves throughout the day. We appreciated Killian's knowledge of gins, and Melisa was always charming at breakfast. The star of the show is Jonas the unassuming manager who took the time to explain to me how the hotel had earned their very high designation for sustainability in The Netherlands. They've gone to extraordinary measures to make their hotel a model for others and still maintain the utmost comfort for the guests. Jonas also remembered I had called a month prior to see if their restaurant could accommodate me, a vegetarian. The restaurant could indeed accommodate me (with advanced notice) and the 5 course meal was outstanding! I was happy to find the chef at the end of the evening and personally thank him and his assistant. Our room had a lovely zen feel and I slept like a baby on their comfy beds. The bathroom was large and modern. The lobby has a wonderful collection of art, history, and local books. They have a book with all sorts of maps and information on Castricum, the North Holland Province. Behind the hotel you can access trails through the Noordhollands Duinreservaat (North Holland Forest and Dune Reserve Nationalk Park) which is absolutely magnificent. We purchased tickets at the front desk when we arrived at the hotel. One of the days we hiked all the way to the ocean and back (moderately challenging). What a treat it was to see the wild Scottish Highland cattle enjoying a lovely afternoon by a lake! The Huize Koningsbosch was a most welcoming and wonderful place and we look forward to returning one day again.

A group of 10 of us stayed here for 4 nights for a business retreat. The staff were so friendly and accommodating for our every need. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with nice artistic themes to each room. The facilities for business meetings were perfect for our small group. They have a lovely courtyard/beer garden and there are nice walks through the woods to the beach right behind the hotel.

Nicely located hotel in the forest. Well maintained and friendly staff. Really enjoyed renting bikes there as well

Staff were extremely helpful and the room was clean and well decorated. The hotel itself has a charming atmosphere and is set on the edge of an area of natural beauty. Car parking facilities were spacious and on site with no extra charge. Breakfast was superb with everything on offer that you could want. Would highly recommend.

Hotel situated in a beautiful older building. We were in a junior suite, which was quite spacious. Bed was okay, although we found the mattress a bit soft. The junior suites have a little outside space which is a bonus. Especially because it catches the afternoon sunshine. There is a separate toilet and bathroom. Bathroom has both shower and bath. Again, spacious. Breakfast is organised really well. Some of it is brought to the table, but there is a small buffet. Yoghurt, sparkling wine, fresh fruit and veg, fruit juices, eggs (scrambled, fried, boiled), bacon, coffee, tea and more. More than enough space between tables. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or stay again.

Heerlijk gehad. Was kort, maar leek minivakantie. Prachtig duingebied (dagkaart noodzakelijk). Einde middag in de zon op het terras vh hotel met een hapje. Diner (4 gangen) was erg verzorgd en lekker. Nette kamer. Koffie/thee faciliteit op de gang. Ontbijt ook erg verzorgd en lekker. Aanrader!

Vandaag spontaan gaan lunchen bij restaurant Koningsbosch. Via de website makkelijk gereserveerd. Ontvangst hartelijk en vriendelijk. Op het terras een biertje gedronken en vervolgens in het restaurant een heerlijke lunch genoten. De chef kok kwam nog even overleggen. Super. Vooraf gekruide zalm en als hoofdgerecht de wilde zeebaars voor mijn vrouw en ikzelf de parelhoen. Fantastisch gepresenteerd en heerlijke smaken. Onwijs verrassend en top gegeten. Prijs kwaliteit super. En de bediening was spontaan en enthousiast . Complimenten .

Heerlijk hotel. Dat begint al met een zeer gastvrije ontvangst. De kamers zijn mooi en moderne ingericht, de bedden liggen fantastisch en het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid. De prima ligging aan het bos- en duingebied maakt dat je zo de natuur in loopt.

bij binnenkomst voel je direct een warme vriendelijke sfeer ; alles klopt ! omdat elke kamer een andere thema heeft , van ons droeg de naam TRIBAL, met comfortabele bedden, fijne patio, een ruime douche , de koffiebar op de gang en de heerlijke geur overal in het hotel, waan jij je echt op vakantie. de bar , de lounge en het restaurant waar je culinair kan genieten maken het verblijf compleet naast het vriendelijke service minded personeel . Wij hebben genoten en komen gauw weer terug mede voor de omgeving dat ook zeer de moeite waard is !
