The ride from Cangas de Onis, Panes, Potes, Fuente De was excellent, apart from the extensive roadworks before Potes. I know this Parador well and was using my Amigos points. It is one of my favourite Paradores, it remains unspoilt, with wonderful views and excellent service. I had an evening meal and Breakfast. The waiting staff remembered my from my last visit. There were beautiful House Martins feeding their young outside my balcony, overlooking the lake. Lovely place, I hope to keep returning.

We stayed at this hotel after coming down the mountain late at night. We could tell there would be an amazing view by looking out the windows that night. We were not disappointed. It was chilly so we took a blanket and just sat on the balcony taking in the lake and surrounding forest. All rooms have a balcony but one side gets the lake and the other the sunrise and mountains. The place was built in 1928 so the hard wood floors creek when you walk around. Aside from that it still had an air of elegance. The lounge rooms were comfortable and the bartender served a strong pour. It was a perfect stay before we headed back south to Malaga. The breakfast spread was fresh and plentiful. All the cold dishes were served buffet style and the hot plate were made to order.

This hotel is something special, it is not just the perfect location with one of the most superb views you will find at any hotel in the world but the hotel itself exudes a charm of its own. From the elegance of the public rooms, too fantastically attentive and helpful staff particularly in the restaurant where the food and wine are of the highest quality. The terrace overlooking the mountains and lake is lovely place to be, the bedrooms are some of the largest I’ve come across and although parts of the hotel are starting to show its age, this just seems to add to the charm of the place, a gem.

Good stay and beautiful location. Sadly, the other guests were mostly a large group of car-fanatics who had taken over the restaurant and the bar with their noise. Really annoying. When they were gone, it was perfect.

Despite taking the cheap option and opting for the Mountain View, we were delighted as the lake view was south facing and would have made the room unbelievably hot! It was a good size room with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel, as ever in paradores every thing was clean and comfortable. We took the dinner bed breakfast option and our evening meal was very tasty. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, cheeses etc. My biggest disappointment was leaving my ear buds behind, hope someone is enjoying them now! Great parador with lovely terrace views.

We had a one night stopover at this Parador. The rooms were very clean, Great views from the large terrace at the back of the hotel & ideal for lunch and drinks. The parador was quite busy and we had not pre booked the restaurant, so the first available table was 9:30 pm, so the only advice would be pre book a table if you intend to eat at the Parador.

This is a modern parador overlooking a mountain range with an ornamental lake in the foreground, facing west so gets brilliant sunset views. It is really great value for money at 85 euros per night with a large car park. The restaurant had a great selection of meals and wine available - all of which are reasonably priced and substantial.

Nice and comfortable hotel. Big, clean and quiet room, we liked it even when it was not renovated. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Excellent staff. Good location for visits (especially romanic churches) and hikes.

Worth upgrading to a superior room for the views over the reservoir and mountains. No ev charging, ample outside parking. Bar terrace large with views over the garden. Staff pleasant and helpful. Lots of walks surrounding parador
