Both towns are loaded with fun-filled activities such as shopping, tubing, and hiking. There are numerous restaurants to enjoy great food, many of which overlook the Ocoee/Toccoa river which flows through town! There is plenty of activities to keep you busy without having to leave the property. Relax in the new hot tub or enjoy story time by the newly constructed firepit. Take a leisurely stroll down the winding natural trails located on the property and enjoy all nature has to offer, including the tranquil sounds of the neighboring creek. There is plenty of room in the yard to throw a ball around or strike up a game of corn hole. If you're up early enough, you'll probably see some deer roaming through the property!Inside:Beautiful natural wood interior with huge vaulted ceilings throughout cabin. Each bedroom features their own bathrooms and have direct access to the new hot on the rear deck! There is a massive king size bed in one bedroom and the other bedroom features a full size bed and a set of bunkbeds. The oversize windows allow plenty of natural sunlight to cascade into the cabin if desired. After a day of eating and sight seeing, come home and relax in the soothing hot tub which overlooks the beautiful, newly constructed fire pit. This 512 sq. ft. cabin, with additional loft space is nestled in the heart of the Cherokee National Forest. This cabin is very private and sleeps up to 6 people. Sitting on the porch, you have tree house views of the surrounding woods. It is close to the Hiwassee river which has rafting and tubing as well as fishing. National Forest hiking trails are right across the road from the main entrance and horse friendly. Welcome to our tiny cabin! Our one bedroom cabin includes a queen bed, and a set of bunk beds in a separate, closed off nook. The living room has vaulted ceilings and a corner kitchen nook. Enjoy your large fire pit looking at the stars with the soothing sounds of the forest around you. We provide all the firewood you will need for the fire pit and the wood burning stove for those cool nights.The Hiwassee River is a 6-minute drive from the cabin. There you can rent kayaks or innertubes from a few outfitters and take a nice long float down the river. These outfitters are only open during seasonal times. You can also enjoy fishing along the river. There are many parks and picnic areas within 15 minutes of the cabin. Across from one of those parks is a short hike that has 4 separate waterfalls (Lowry Falls). People love this short hike.One of our favorite things to do is to go back in time on the Hiwassee Loop Train Ride. The 50-mile ride takes about 5 hours. You will get to hear the history of the train and the towns it passes through. The railroad was built in the1890's.
