I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and I have always appreciated the cleanliness, comfort and amenities. This stay on New Year’s Eve, however, was very disappointing. At check-in, they did not have my reservation. When I showed the clerk my ******* confirmation, she expressed confusion over what to do to another clerk at the counter who then recommended she go speak with a manager. The reservation was located, but had to be transferred to their system which took a few minutes more. During the night, the fan for the heating system emitted a high-pitched squeal when it, intermittently, kicked on which woke up my husband numerous times. The next morning, the water in the bathroom would not get hot. We called the front desk and were told to let it run for a bit. We let it run for half an hour and it never got hot. The keys to our room were deactivated prior to checkout time. My husband went to the car to start loading our things and was locked out of the building. I took my key to open the door for him and we were both locked out of our room. I stood in the hall outside of our room while he went to the front desk to get a key that worked. When I checked out, the clerk told me that the key was deactivated Prematurely because most hotels have checkout times at 11 AM, but because their check out time is noon, it stopped working - as if All hotels Work off of an automatic activation/deactivation system. Ridiculous! No manager on duty to address our concerns.
