Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown First Ward

We were in town for the weekend. When we checked in, a sweet girl named Olivia helped us and she was super friendly and helpful. On our second night, someone on our hall was playing loud music and yelling up and down the hall at 2:30 in the morning. My husband called the front desk to let them know. They said they’d send security right up and within 2 minutes we heard “Security”. We were very pleased with how things turned out. We stay there again.

The employees were nice and courteous. The parking was an experience.

The hotel was nice, and quiet, didn't hear doors slamming throughout the night like most hotels. Was told it was only 4 blocks from the convention center. Was actually like 10 blocks. Parking was a little over priced at $45. The valet never sent call links and it took 25-30 min to get our truck sometimes then they expected a tip as those links didn't seem to have any trouble getting through to my phone. Parking/valet would prob be my least favorite about the hotel. Breakfast was spot on! The staff were incredible in the breakfast area. Especially one lady I wish I had her name. My sone was getting over a chest cold and she made him a Honey Lemon Tea.

The variety of the breakfast can be improved.

I had a great time during my stay. Room was clean and as expected, staff were welcoming. We did not have many needs so didn’t interact much. Location is slightly on the outskirt of the downtown area but walkable and lyfts were cheap. My main concern was parking. The options are extremely limited and ranges from 25-45/day. Only parking option offered from the facility is valet which is $45/day. Knowing that up front would have most likely factored into my decision to stay here.

Beautiful new hotel— they have a lot of construction around the hotel and some sketchy people in the evenings on the streets surrounding the hotel but I wasn’t afraid…just uncomfortable. The valet worked flawlessly until our last morning and then it took 30 min to get our car (even though we asked for it ahead of time). So, it wasn’t a flawless stay but the hotel itself is lovely. Very quiet, good beds/pillows, beautiful and crisp. I do wish breakfast went until 10 am on weekdays!

Had a girls weekend here with my best friend. The property was super clean and the staff was amazing. To save yourself some parking drama, I recommend using the hotel’s valet. I would definitely stay again
