All was fine with this hotel except the smell of cigarettes in the room.

Amazing location, mall and restaurants are just across the road.
The walking track along river is opposite to hotel. So hotel is located in the heart of city and price they offered me was Value for money. Although its not star ranked hotel but they tried their best to facilitate.

Super enthusiastic and helpful front desk employees. They stored my bag after I checked out! One even tried to speak English, which was not necessary but certainly I appreciated the effort! Room was clean and tidy and they even upgraded me for free! The shower facilities were all in good working order as well.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff and owner, we had a wonderful experience here at the hotel and especially with the fantastic tour guide Xiaoyu! Would highly recommend 😊

The stay was ok. The pros were the very kind women at the front desk. The location is great. The shower was good with a lot of hot water. When I had a specific complaint about a room, I got another room instantly. There were several cons though. The whole hotel smelled of smoked and perfume that tried to cover the smoke smell. The cleaning standard does not live up to our standards. There were several hairs from the previous guests. The floor was dusty in corners and under the bed. The river couldn’t be seen well due to dirty windows. The bed was very hard. The breakfast is McDonalds, we were hoping to get traditional Chinese breakfast.

Old Hotel but great value for money. Amenities include free use of washing machine and microwave oven. Front counter staff most helpful to help with visit to tour destinations in Chengde.
