Cute little room with modern bathroom. Did exactly what we needed it for. A little noisy at night from traffic and people noise, but it was fine. You could also hear the other rooms plumbing turning off and on but that's pretty standard in a motel. Pool and spa were nice.

The Holiday Park Hotel in the Big 4 Balarit gold mining area is located near the gold mining town tour area. The hotel garden is large and the facilities are relatively complete. The room was quite new and the bed was big and comfortable. It felt cold at night and the air conditioner was turned on.

So many positive things to say about Sovereign Park but the 2 memorable standouts which will have us returning would have to be, the SERVICE and INDOOR HEATED POOL & SPA! The booking & check-in process were both so easy. Jen served us throughout our stay, she was immediately warm and welcoming. After checking out and having mentioned we were going to explore the Wildlife Park nearby, we had a call from Jen about some precious plush toys our daughter had left behind. She knew how important it was to get it back to us so she wasted no time in contacting us before we made our way back home. The family room was comfy & cosy, clean and included all the amenities needed. The kids had the best time in the pool, spa & sauna. Mummy even got some time to spend in the gym, nothing flashy but complete & practical. Thanks so much & keep up the great service. Quite nice hotel, clean and tidy. The booked room contains breakfast and is quite rich. Easy parking. The hotel is just around the Sovereign Hill and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Visitor Service Center.

It's two or three kilometers away from the city center. It's like a resort. There is a reception at the entrance. It takes three to five minutes to walk in. The cottage, the first-floor bungalows in the townhouse, and free parking next to it. It was enough for three people. It was not so crowded. The door was open outdoors. It was not the same as staying in a hotel. It was good. You could sit at the door and watch the stars. It felt quieter than the hotel and no neighbors disturbed. Close to Shufenshan Gold Mine Town. If you want to go out for dinner, you have to go outside the yard to find it. On the walk, you do n’t have to go out.

I can highly recommend Barkly Motorlodge in terms of the facilities they have for wheelchair access in Unit 17. It is well set up. Shower and toilet facilities are good. The room itself with the bathroom between the double bed and the single bed is ideal for carer/client. The noise of traffic at night from traffic was a little loud but that was my choice as I do not like sleeping in aircon preferring to open a window or two. Highly recommend the motel for its closeness to the main areas of the City and for its disabled facilities.

This motel is on the edge of the city centre and close to restaurants, supermarkets and other amenities. The bed was very comfortable and a real large bed (not two single mattresses stuck together as many places seem to offer). Our room had a sofa, table and 2 chairs, small fridge, kettle, toaster, and tea/coffee making facilities. TV only offers free--to-air but that was not a problem for us. Very clean and easy check-in check-out. Off-street parking, good value all round.

Thanks for a great experience during our stay. We had a spacious family room including a queen bed, a single bed and double bunk. The kitchenette had equipment beyond the norm. There was plenty of natural light from full length windows near the balcony. We easily walked to cafes and supermarket.

The room itself was more than adequate and the spa bath in the private bathroom a delight. But the visit was spoilt by the false advertising on the booking site. We were promised a free continental or English breakfast but upon asking for it were told they didn't do breakfast and suggested to go to McDonalds. We were told there was a bar/lounge. SInce we were there for my wife's birthday we thought a drink in the bar would be nice once we had the kids in bed - but there was no bar to be found. The room details mentioned a ”full kitchen” but this was just a microwave and a kettle. It was a nice room at a reasonable price. There should be no need to lure customers in with lies.

I felt that the room rate was cheap for the quality of the hotel. The room I stayed in was pretty clean. The location was very good and convenient.
