I stayed here several decades ago, and it looks very much like little has changed to update it. This is both good and bad. The Clarendon is a traditional place to stay in Katoomba, and is very old-school. This is not a place for those wanting the latest in trends and styles and a high-end experience. I think of it as being like a comfortable pair of old shoes. Good points: (I stayed in the motel section) - one of the better value places to stay in the mountains - my room was clean and tidy and quiet. -nice sized TV for watching Friday night football - The staff were super-friendly. It was a pleasure to deal with them. - wi fi was good, and my the heating system did its job and kept me warm all night, despite it being bitterly cold outside. -comfortable bed. I slept well. -While I did not spend much time in the common areas, they did look interesting places to hang out. These things might need some attention: - a bit skimpy on bathroom toiletries and tea and coffee supplies. - consider putting a face cloth and hand towel in the rooms - the free breakfast is appreciated, but maybe a little more could be added to it (yoghurt or some pastries like croissants etc). -
Booked this hotel because of the convenience of transportation. It is close to the train station, and the departure station of the red double-decker bus No. 1 to the Blue Mountains is also across the road from the hotel. (see last picture)
This is a hotel with a long history, and the facilities have a sense of history. For example, the door of the elevator is an iron door that needs to be closed by itself, and it can only seat up to four adults. The hotel's restaurant, reception room, and library are all very historical and cultural. I've seen too many horror movies, don't live if you're afraid of this style.
The rooms are clean with high ceilings. It's just that it's an antique hotel style that everyone didn't see much before. My room has a wardrobe and a bright mirror facing half of the bed. It's hard to say.
Buffet breakfast is bread fruit and milk. Single than the average hotel. If you want to eat better, order your own food.
The aunt at the front desk of the hotel was quite enthusiastic. We checked out and went to the Blue Mountains to play and told us not to worry, play slowly, and the luggage will be looked after for us. Then.... didn't give any luggage storage receipt, just let us go... It's more primitive, but the people are very hospitable. When she came back in the afternoon to pick up her luggage, she greeted her warmly as soon as she entered the door. Maybe there are no other Asian guests in the whole hotel. Finally, I would like to add that most of the guests of this hotel are middle-aged and elderly tourists, mainly Australians. Young friends don't like this style of detour.
Jamie provided us with the best greeting we have ever had at check-in. He was warm and friendly on arrival and asked us did we know the area and were we looking for anything in particular. He then took the time to highlight the specific locations on a map that would be ideal for our photographic adventure.
We arrived in the early evening and Jamie had the heater on in our room and the lights on for us and this was greatly appreciated on a cold Katoomba evening.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable,
The large bathroom was recently renovated with plenty of hot water in the shower.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and fully intend to do so in the future.

The room is quite big and there is a small sofa. There are two bottles of milk and two bottles of water in the refrigerator. To be honest, I stayed in so many hotels with similar prices this time, and this one was the only one with water, which made me cry. The entire house is in retro style, and there are fireplaces and sofas in the public areas. However, check-in at the front desk is until 5 pm, and no one will be there any later. I saw that Ctrip showed that it was before 00:00, so I went there after 8 pm, but there was no one there. Later we communicated on the phone, and the key was left in the key box for us. We took the key to the room by ourselves, which was pretty smooth ~ overall very good satisfy
Stayed in the two bedroom unit. Kitchen has all the basics. Good beds and two bathrooms. Walls dirty but otherwise very clean unit. You can hear some noice from the street but it didn’t bother us. The unit has one window to look out and one that has coloured glass so you can’t see through and this makes the unit dark. We didn’t care because we just needed a place to sleep and enjoyed the sceneries all day out hiking. Very friendly and attentive staff.
The room was beautiful and well cut. It was very clean and wonderfully preheated.
Although we arrived before the reception end, the reception was unsafe and the conversation via a communication button was very unfriendly. When a pronounced, loud persistent peifton for about 2 1/2 hours all the hotel floated, despite multiple contacts with this button, a solution to this very unfriendly problem was rejected. The room was beautiful as I said, but the way to deal with guests was impossible.
Therefore, we would not stay there anymore.
There are everything near the hotel, supermarkets, restaurants, clothing stores, selling travel supplies, more convenient, also near the subway station, if you do not have a car, preferred here, otherwise you have to break your leg to eat a meal.
While the motel was in a good location, quiet and warm, I was a little taken aback that there was no service to the room while we were there. We were given a small milk when we arrived, but nothing was refreshed the following day, including towels etc. Even though we were out all day. It was quite a surprise to walk in that night to find it as we left it.
The reception is in the nearby 100-meter motel, which is not convenient. I didn't find it at first, and I made two calls in the free phone booth inside the parking lot outside the room. The rooms are small but well equipped. Opposite is the echo point shopping center, and 200 meters ahead is the echo point observatory, the scenery is great.

Three Sisters walk
小小思文The Three Sisters Peak is a very famous mountain, and the Three Sisters Peak is also a high peak connected by three high peaks. This place is also quite interesting. The peaks are also very dense with natural things. There is no development of some scenery.
Leura Mall
陌陌染MMTraveling to Australia, this stop came to Sydney, followed the tour group to the Blue Mountains to punch in. There is a small town of Lula at the foot of the Blue Mountains. A very famous town here, because it is close to the Blue Mountains, many tourists who go to the Blue Mountains will come here by the way, take a break and continue the journey, and because of its scenery, Spring and autumn are its best tourist seasons. In spring, the main street of the town is full of cherry blossoms, and the sea of pink flowers is very beautiful; in autumn, the red and yellow leaves set off the autumn meaning, you can choose the season you like to play.
