My reception by Naveen and Dorg was cheerful and helpful; they provided clear and good info regarding the hotel, parking, breakfast and meals in the adjoining Labour Club, etc. Our room on the top 9th floor had a good view towards the Lake Ginninderra, although another high rise had partially blocked the view. Our room was an end room, a more spacious upgrade offered to us by Naveen. It was very clean- every nook and cranny- compliments to housekeeping. It was also nice and bright, as was the bathroom. Decor is very modern and up to date. Bed was comfortable and we had good sleeps. The hot breakfast in the Club was of good quality and variety and good value. Parking on level3 and level4 of the carpark was easily accessible.

We booked this hotel under ”Luxury escapes” and it certainly wasn't luxury! When we got there the receptionist was absolutely terrible (no customer service skills whatsoever) and not to us but to others as well. When asked about parking she said it's just across the road. Asked her how to get there and she gave us a printed form and said that should tell us - no explanation of form of direction. When reading the instructions it was very confusing and it took us a while. We were meant to receive a free bottle of wine and a voucher. Didn't get that, I had to call reception to ask for it and had to go down to reception to pick it up. Got back to the room and there was 1 wine glass. I gave up and on the following day asked for another wine glass. She said she would send it up via housekeeping......it never came. On the second day we had to evacuate because the fire alarm went off. My husband has a walking stick and finds it very difficult to move. But we did it. Got the site where you go for evacuation and there's no one there to direct us or anything, I find that very poor especially in a hotel. I had booked previously to go back in April but I quickly cancelled it. Worst hotel I've ever been to

The staff was kind. I think the hotel restaurant is not bad, so I am satisfied. The room was clean and tidy.

The environment is very good, the front desk service of the first reception is also good. Proactively helped us solve many problems. And told us that we can check out at 2 pm, we can have more rest meetings the next day, so we have a conference call after the check-in day, but the door is knocking from 8:00 to 12:00 the next day. The attitude is extremely bad. I have been explaining to the front desk the next day that the hotel told us that we can check out at 2pm. The new front desk still asks me to pay another day's room rate. Spending money is a trivial matter, but the attitude determines my impression of the hotel. Many hotels in Australia have a very good service attitude, but this one is very disappointing.

Hotel location📍   We drove at 8 o'clock in the morning in Sydney. We stayed in the zoo in Canberra for about 5 hours. We drove in from the entrance. On the left is Jamala's signboard. It is good to park directly in the parking lot without taking a ticket.   Jamala is not in downtown Canberra, but Canberra is only a 10 minute drive to the city. If you want to live for a few more days in Canberra, I wouldn’t recommend it because of Canberra’s political attractions. There is a grandmother who needs to be taken care of by a wheelchair. The hotel and the zoo's overall barrier-free facilities are very comprehensive. Very smooth and happy~   At 4 o'clock we can finally go back to the room to rest! We live in a giraffe room, two people live in a long lemur room, and the giraffe room has a room at 4 o'clock. The administrator has a giraffe to take pictures. The giraffe room can see giraffes and deer, lemur rooms, The lemur is just outside the glass window of the room, and it’s especially cute to see people coming over and selling! We can also see the lion on the window terrace of the No. 2 lemur house. The hotel is open at 6 o'clock~ These two hours are free activities, and the zoo can visit the aquarium. Dinner🍝   Dinner is a fine dinning mode, a lot of glutinous nuts will be very particular about changing a good-looking clothes, drinking wine and snacks at the open bar on the terrace at 6 o'clock, red wine, white wine, champagne beer, the wine here is a good wine, like to drink The pot friends can open their hearts~ But you have to remember that this meal has to be eaten at 10 o'clock in the evening... Don't get drunk in advance.   At 7 o'clock in the evening, I will have a big table with people I don't know. It is very important to master the foreign chat technology. Then check out~ If you want to experience a few more animals, you can live for a few more days~ However, this hotel I think if you want to live, you can choose your favorite animal room, and English must be good~ Otherwise you will feel tired and boring~ The person staying at the hotel is still a foreigner!

Liked · This hotel is in a fantastic location - walking distance to a supermarket and many cafes/restaurants. It is also only minutes from the CBD and most main attractions. The beds were comfy and the room was of decent size with the added bonus of air conditioning. Disliked · Unfortunately, this is in bad need of an upgrade. The bathroom was terrible, and not terribly clean. There were 3 of us staying with one bar of soap. Admittedly, upon check-in I was told I could go back and ask for more - but it should be there in the first place. There was no shampoo or conditioner, which is often standard even in budget hotels. Nor were there enough classes or mugs for the 3 of us staying.

We stayed here for the Easter long weekend. The room was basic but modern and clean and the bathrooms looked recently renovated and the showers were fantastic. Staff were lovely and checkin and check out was quick and easy. Beds were quite comfy as well. Unfortunately their restaurant is no longer operational but there’s plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby so that wasn’t as issue. Our “family room” turned out to be just 2 hotel rooms next door to each other, but had a door that you shut off to the hallway that you needed a key to use to open, in order to then access both hotel rooms.

This hotel has very much an 80s vibe, and the rooms do look like they have not been updated since it originally opened. But I found my room to be clean, the beds were comfortable, the aircon whisper quiet and there was no street noise so we had a great sleep. I really like this place. I especially love the atrium in the centre of the hotel and their use of plants. Lots of plants! It's a very interesting design. It's like being in a terrarium circus tent! I thought some of the trees must surely be fake, but no, it's quite amazing what they have achieved and just how big some of the trees are in there! I love the cosy and private lounge areas scattered through the plantings and water features. I love the look of the stair cases you can see from the centre and the use of wood against the light colour scheme throughout. You will find the hotel is relatively close to EPIC if you are there for an event, to Haig Park Markets, Braddon Eateries, bars and cafes, and the Canberra Centre. I found the reception and bar staff to be very lovely and helpful. Many thanks for a delightful stay.
