Dear Emma and Corey, Our group, the Harris Family, would like to thank you so much for your hospitality we experienced on the weekend of May 19th & 20th. Our group stayed with your motel for our son's wedding and you all went above and beyond to make sure our stay was delightful and it was! Your service was impeccable and the cooking fabulous! Thank you so much for creating our private dinner function when you were short of staff. You all made the Bowen Inn feel like a family place full of warmth! The beautiful fireplace sure helped with that! It was all greatly appreciated and you made our weekend a joyous family occasion! Thank you again and we look forward to visiting again! This pub is in a great central location and has good parking. The room rate is cheap and therefore the tiredness of the general decor, furnishings etc is to be expected. The staff were friendly. The room was small but adequate for my needs and having a sink in the room was a bonus. The room was clean as were the shared bathrooms. The bed linen and towel provided was very good. There was heater in the room although it was missing a wheel and lopsided, however I couldn’t plug it in anyway as the only power point was near the door and the only possible place to put the heater was in front of the door between the sink and the bed making it impossible to use the door. When checking in I was asked if I was aware a band would be playing until around 1am directly under my room (Saturday night) I was not! As it happened I was attending a function and arrived back around 11.30, the band was a duo and pretty good, but it was loud in my room. The main issue I have and the reason for the rating is that the people in the room next to me were yelling at each other and what sounded like moving furniture and throwing things intermittently but consistently from the time I went to my room around midnight until around 5am! This was highly disturbing in a number of ways including feeling nervous and unsafe along with a distinct lack of sleep. I got the impression that some people are more long term residents in the pub, and certainly the ones in the room next to me had some serious issues going on. Unfortunately I could not recommend staying here.

Lithgow Workies Club Motel is an A class top spot! It's exceptionally clean, very comfortable and quiet. We've stayed there on many occasions and found the excellent amenities and services are consistently replicated every time. We highly recommend Lithgow Workies when staying in the area. You'll be more than satisfied you chose to stay there. Guaranteed!

Fantastic experience. We stayed in Room 50 which is relatively new & super clean. It was like a studio and had fridge (largeish not just a drink fridge!), microwave & basic crockery/cutlery. Central heating which was very much appreciated as temp dropped to -5deg (June) when we there there. We ate in the restaurant which was top notch, basic but delicious food and very reasonable priced. Motel staff very kindly arranged to send on some personal items which I inadvertently left behind. Massive thanks! Cannot recommend Black Gold more highly and this motel certainly puts some of the bigger city hotels to shame.

I had lunch today in Hotel Eticos restaurant with a group of 17 people for a Yuletide Celebration. The thoughtful little touches of Christmas decorations, little iced Christmas cakes on the table & home made star cookies hanging on the tree completed the beautiful ambiance, along with the cozy fire!. We had a 2 course set Yuletide menu. The food was of generous portions & was absolutely delicious. Dietary restrictions were not a problem & our lactose & dairy free member was well catered for. The service was spectacular. The staff were extremely friendly & nothing was too much trouble. We were all very well looked after. All of our group had a wonderful time.
