Overall Experience Impressive property that reflects the care and attention to detail management and staff have devoted to this gem. While it isn’t next door to the Mall of Berlin (20-minute subway ride away) and does not have the city-center bustle (meh), Hotel Louisa’s Place has an old-world charm with all the modern conveniences needed for a very comfortable stay. I will stay here on my next trip to Berlin and I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a comfortable alternative to the corporate chain hotels. Room: Very much liked the room floorplan. It was like a 1-bedroom apartment with a separate living/dining/kitchen area and a patio with a table for two overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom was spacious with a huge shower. The 12-foot-high ceilings with ornate crown molding and large windows made it seem very grand. We felt as though we had a posh European flat for our week in Berlin with all the amenities of a very nice hotel. Location: I was surprised to learn that everything we needed during our stay was within walking distance. We found three grocery stores and more restaurants than we had time to try all within a 5–10-minute walk. There was also an abundance of other shops and stores near the hotel. The U-Bahn (subway) station was 1 block from the front door. The S-Bahn (main city-wide trains) station was a 8-10-minute walk or you could walk to the U-Bahn and ride it to the next stop and shorten the walk to the S-Bahn. We did not need a rental car since all of our activities were accessible from the nearby subway or train. Price: I did my homework and found this hotel to be well-positioned in the market. Value for money was very good. So glad we did not stay in the chain hotel we were considering. Service: Unlike American hotels post-pandemic, housekeeping was done every day of our stay with fresh towels as needed. They emptied the trash bins and collected recycled containers and generally tidied up. All staff were very friendly and eager to help with any questions and requests we had. Cleanliness: All aspects of this hotel were well tended to. I typically wipe down drawers and shelves before putting clothes away. That was not necessary at this hotel. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean, and I was impressed by how this older building has been meticulously upgraded and maintained.

The room was too hot to sleep and the aircon didn't work. We had to sleep with the window wide open but was woken up at 7am by the window cleaner. As it was so hot I had no covers on so it was pretty shocking to wake up to him practically inside the room. The hotel really need to warn guests when the windows are being cleaned. We were here for the marathon but got zero sleep as it was so hot and stuffy. On check out day the cleaners entered our room 4 times this was really annoying. The location was really good that was the only positive.

About 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel. Good downtown location. Many sights and the Friedrichstrasse shopping mall are within walking distance. Warm courteous reception. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms facing the street, unfortunately a bit noisy. Quiet atmosphere in the hotel. Great wellness / SPA (Hamam) area. Breakfast varied, fresh and tasty. Courteous service. Unfortunately, the room is a bit gloomy.

Goed ontvangen na een lange reis vanuit nl naar Berlijn. We zijn naar potsdamerstrasse 129 gestuurd daar waar een steiger aan de voorzijde staat. Nr gebeld wat daar aan de deur vermeld hing aantal keren gebelde geen reacties. Trip.com gebeld deze hebben een kamer bij Lindemann's geregeld waarbij ik niets bij hoeft te betalen. Alsnog bedankt Ron.

This hotel has a great location. The position and evaluation are very good, and the staff are very helpful. When I had a small problem, they quickly solved it and made sure I was completely satisfied.

The Newberlin hotel is in a residential area and will not give you a feeling of being where it all happens. This doesn't have to be a bad thing, depending on what you want. The receptionist was very welcoming upon arrival. I was a little surprised that I had to walk across a large courtyard to a second building to get to my room. This annex was very different from the pictures on-line. The hallway was dark and the room was not light and modern as I had expected. It was ”retro” at best and didn't feel like a proper four-star room at all. My view was directly into a condemned building across another courtyard. The breakfast restaurant was in the annex, and the food an service here was good. There are outside seats as well as inside seating. I tried the sauna and relax-area which was much smaller than I had expected. The sauna itself was self serviced and I had to figure out the controls to make it work. The sauna was also quite small, so it's a good thing I was the only person there. I ate at the restaurant one evening. They had run out of my choice, but the steak sandwich I ended up with was very good and delicately prepared. The waiter was also very pleasant. Checkout went really fast.

There are no photos here because my friends stayed here. Just looked outside. My friend said it was pretty good, but the price was quite expensive during the exhibition. It would be better if it was cheaper. I just happened to see a double rainbow, good luck.

Facilities: good, there are many choices for breakfast in the morning, I like to eat French croissants the most, the hotel kitchen is made by itself, really top quality Health: good Environment: I can see the TV tower in Figure 3 from the window of my room. It is about 650 meters walk. The TV tower is next to the subway station. There is a subway station near the hotel. I walk 600 meters to the Chinese restaurant Daming. Service: Very good In general, this price also includes breakfast, service facilities are good, the price is very high, personally recommended

The interior is quite nice and definitely 4 star worth. I booked a non-refundable single room for two nights, which was nice and clean. Everything needed was there. I do have to admit two flaws: 1. The friendly lady at the front desk got the wrong information from the system so I has to pay a second time on site (prepaid at trip.com). Thankfully the night manager figured it out and refunded me the money before it have been booked. 2. I have chosen the Hotel ONLY because of the large pool to swim in the morning. Unfortunately the friendly lady (first contact) told me the pool is closed on the day of arrival, but I could use the spa instead for free today. It should open on next day, so I could do my morning swim. The next morning in the spa they told me, pool won't open today still due to maintenance reason. Both topics took me nearly one hour which is a no go for wasting customers time...

An excellent place to stay right next to the subway stop so very accessible to all parts of the city. Only 2 stops away from Checkpoint Charlie too. Room is very comfortable and cosy. All the staff were friendly and there is a nice bar in the hotel.
