The hotel is located almost directly on the beach and at the beginning of the coastal promenade towards the centre. There is a parking garage and outdoor parking. Our room was spacious and had a balcony with views of the Baltic Sea. The interior has come something into the years and it seems rather old baking. Technically, however, everything is fine, the rest is tasteful. There is a wellness area, but the pool is very small and is not really suitable for swimming. Lounges are available in the interior and the outside area. The restaurant is wonderful and has a terrace with various seating options (e.g. beach baskets). Egg dishes can be ordered at breakfast, the buffet does not leave any wishes open.

Just returned home from a 4 night stay at Hotel Merkur. I had taken my 3 Children on a Monday to Friday holiday to celebrate their milestone Birthdays, my twins turned 21 and my other daughter celebrating her 40th. I chose this hotel because of the reviews of how friendly the hotel staff were and all the personal touches they provided, such as, bottle of bubbly on arrival and homemade Jam and/or marmalade as a leaving gift. Sadly we saw nothing of this despite me emailing them beforehand to inform them of our reason for the holiday. The room we had been given was 002 and although very basic, we had a great bathroom. The windows looked on to a wall so not much daylight in the room, but we were okay with this as it kept the room cool and we didn't plan to be in all that much. Not wanting to be negative, but... on arrival all we were given was the key and told where our room could be found, no welcome pack or even information about the hotel facilities etc. (We only found out on the last day that they had a courtyard we could have used and that they sold soft drinks at recetion.) The room didn't even have tea/coffee making equipment, which we found very unusual and disappointing. The last straw for us was, when checking out was asked if we had taken anything from the mini bar to which I replied ”what mini bar?” ”The one in your room” eh??? We didn't have a mini bar!! Left us thinking we must have had the worst room in the hotel and we felt like second class guests. On the positive side the towels and bedding were changed daily and the breakfast was good. Oh, I forgot to mention, my daughter came back to the hotel when I was asleep and didn't want to knock the door too loud in case it disturbed other guests, si asked us she could be let in and was told they didn't have another key, so she sat in reception. Eh???!!!. I loved Prague and will definitely go back, but not to Hotel Merkur.

Meine Frau und ich waren sehr angetan vom Hotel und haben es sehr genossen, hier 5 Nächte zu verbringen. Das kleine Boutique Hotel liegt in erster Reihe, direkt an der Seebrücke von Binz und ca. 100m vom schönen Strand entfernt. Natürlich ist es dort auch etwas lauter, weil viel Traffic direkt vom schmalen Balkon zu beobachten ist. Die Seebrücke und die Fußgängerzone sind zugegen. Alles, Ruhe und beste Lage direkt am Strand sowie zentrale Lage mit Geschäften und unzähligen Restaurants ist eben schwierig und man muss sich eben entscheiden. Nachts habe ich mit Ohropax geschlafen, was nicht schlimm war. Unser Hotelzimmer im obersten Stockwerk war klein aber sehr fein. 28qm reichten für uns aus. Direkt nebenan hatten wir eine wunderschöne Dachterrasse, die für alle nutzbar war. Es roch oft nach Bürgern von Peter Pane. Der Strandabschnitt, wo vom Ceres unser Strandkorb, wieder in erster Reihe, stand, war etwas Abseits von der Seebrücke Binz, sehr feiner Service mit der Badetasche und zwei kleinen Wasserflaschen. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Bemühte junge Menschen, auch wenn nicht alles perfekt läuft, aber wo ist das schon so? Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage überzogen teuer mit 28€. Einparkservice und kostenloses Laden inklusive. Leider keine Angaben zur Tiefgarage in der Begrüßungsmail oder Adresse auf der Internetseite. Zufällig gefunden. Da wir Glück mit dem Wetter hatten, konnten wir im Garten frühstücken. Das Frühstück ist gut und alles sehr frisch zubereitet. Wir werden wiederkommen und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Dinner ist allerdings nichts für jeden Tag. Mit den Tapas wäre ich schnell durch. Da es aber ausreichend gute Restaurants in Binz gibt, die man vorreservieren sollte, zumindest in der Hauptsaison, würde ich immer in den umliegenden Restaurants essen. Das Ceres Konzept hat mich abends nicht überzeugt. Highlight war der Hightea im Garten bei 25 Grad zu einem fairen Preis-/Leistungsverh. ist sehr zu empfehlen! Wellness haben wir nicht gemacht, da das Wetter super gut war.

Cosy small hotel with really polite and advanced staff. We had booked family rooms with dog and the found cleanliness was worth praising. There can be some 3* hotel where we stayed cut a dish. Also the condition of the room is worthy of praise, not even the typical hotel disease of defect or golden fug in the bathroom. Equally breakfast, not defecting anything. Sufficiently and lovely arranged. The small ” wellness area ” consisting of a small indoor pool and a small sauna can be used without difficulty.
