My relatives have been more than happy to visit this grandiose restaurant for many years. Today, on the occasion of my milestone birthday, I was lucky enough to be able to experience this gastronomic as well as culinary specialty for myself. Normally one always praises the kitchen, service, food, etc. at times. However, my prostration primarily deserves the (as I would like to respectfully call her) *Grande Dame*. What is meant here is that elderly lady who, despite the years on her skin and the leisurely steps, looks after the guests with an alert mind, friendly words and attentiveness. Anyone who has ever entertained their own guests at home knows how heavy plates are (gastro plates are a lot more). Her dainty arms carry her seemingly effortlessly to the hungry guests at the tables and back to the kitchen. I was able to experience and marvel at this lady during my wonderful, culinary evening of indulgence. Dressed in fresh spring colors, she carried a deep calm through the room despite the heavy load on her hands. AND as my eyes followed her in amazement at every pass, my respect for this delicate person (herself a former cook of the house) grew. That's what I call lived hospitality down to the last fiber of the heartbeat. The performance of the kitchen: the palate tugs at the finely tuned aromas for quite a while after leaving the guest room, which initially also gave the eyes an appetite. The attentive service rounds off the visitor's experience and leaves only one thing: ”The desire to meet again soon”. I have already experienced several hundred wonderful hosts and gastronomic indulgences. THIS today brought me to my knees because of the human passion of that lady. Any restaurant is only as good as the people who work there. Here lives love, passion and strength for the job, for the guests and enjoyment. Thank you for this wonderful experience on every level in your house. The Meenzer Mäddsche from the Black Forest. We will definitely see each other again - I promise! Evelyn Kleeberg

TTrek17439042464This is just an outstanding place, with many quirks but they add to the charme - it's a 19th century chateau right by the Rhine (not on the levee; nothing is, the Rhine can be fierce), and it is very much a boutique chateau hotel. The place is famous as a two-star Michelin restaurant, but we went Monday-Wednesday when it's closed (but you can still get wine on the terrace etc.), which meant much more quietude, and it was great. Key for the experience was that we had the Tower Suite, their prime room, which has historical value - the German Constitution was discussed here shortly after WWII by the key party leaders. The bathroom is fine, the bedroom a bit low-ceilinged and dark, but the actual Tower Suite is great. It's a real space. Some constructive criticism: It's a consciously non-hip historical property, but in 2023, I think a Nespresso machine or at least a kettle is a must. In this suite, there shouldn't be random books, but at least a copy of the Constitution and a picture of Adenauer, Heuss and Carlo Schmid. To have the jacuzzi not work and not tell this in advance is so-so. And for a 400+ suite, I would as usual throw the breakfast in... But we really liked the wine selection (and the free carafe in the room); parking is great; and the staff was truly friendly and courteous. There is no elevator; the speed road goes right by between river and house (but that is the Hessian politicians' fault); and there is no pool or gym. But that one knows in advance and it's not a problem. So altogether, a very strong recommendation, especially for that suite. It's a significant, truly charming, almost otherworldly place, and if you like this - and in one of the loveliest regions of Germany - it's just a fantastic place.

GGuest UserRheingau is my second home so it’s not my first time at the Kloster Eberbach Hotel. I heard while making a reservation that management changed in the hotel and honestly I had my doubts... these lasted till I stayed there last time. They made many improvements! Rooms have key cards, nicer amenities, more attention to the guests (including to my furry friend) and the restaurant is also better. The reception team also took their time to recommend me a nice tour around the museum. Also loved the “Wine Garden”! Such a nice way to spend a sunny afternoon! Yes... corona times are hard for many but they manage to make my day better even while maintaining social distance. I will for sure come back soon to see what else they improve! Well done!
