Very fair time in breakfast and simple room, good location and pool

This hotel is absolutely stunning. Massive lobby with very comfortable large sofas to chill till you wait for your couch transfer. Rooms are nice and clean. Shower is big. Food at buffet is delicious. They change menu everyday which always includes fish dish, meat dish and pizzas. There are enough vegetables and salads for vegetarians and vegans. Decent choice of deserts. Plenty of fresh fruits. On breakfast you can always find classic trio of scrambled eggs, bacon, baked beans. Location is super nice. Beach is just 2min away by walk. High street is long enough for walks after meals. Plenty of mini shops arround and 15min aways by walk there is massive supermarket. I really don't understand why people leave bad reviews for this hotel. Like everywhere else there are plusses and minuses. Luckily for me I could not find any major minuses here just positive experience. Enjoy your stay and relax.

We had a good time - location is great (on the promenade and v close to the beach), the staff were friendly and the food was good. (Breakfast and dinner). We were on the ground floor which is great for getting back to the room after a long day at the beach but we didn’t feel like we could sit on the balcony as facing very close to next hotel. Room was basic and clean but bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade ( grouting, around sink taps and bath plugs) . Also, it had a shower curtain which I hate as they stick to you when you shower. We went straight to beach as had read other reviews about the sun bed situation by the pool. The beach was great and a lovely breeze. We had a look poolside on our last day and did actually get 2 beds there but decided to go to the beach instead as it all looked a bit close together and not enough umbrellas for shade available. As per previous reviews we were asked to present email confirmation from TUI which I was glad I’d read about on Tripadvisor or it would have panicked me as I’ve never come across that requirement in any other hotel. I really liked the proximity to the airport too as I hate spending too long on coach transfers. Overall, a nice, relaxing holiday.

Very mixed feelings about this hotel. The good points The hotel it's self is very nice and spotlessly clean the rooms are a good size with great views of santa susanna and the beach, loved the lobby area with the table service and bar the staff where always very attentive with a smile, the pool is great it's got a great sized pool. The bad points One of the biggest things for me being a none smoker is having to constantly walk past people smoking outside the back door leading to the pool area nearly every time I walked out the door there was at least 2 or 3 people smoking sometimes a group of maybe 10 or 15 in the evening it's discusting there needs to be a smoking area away from the main areas or entrances. Santa susanna it's self is very nice but we found it to very quite too quite in fact there was no entertainment anywhere the entertainment in the hotel wax very poor. The room keys we was constantly having to go the reception due the card keys not working (they was nowhere near our phones). The food breakfast that was included was very nice, the Mexican restaurant called la pergola wow I've never had a food like that it was disgusting I ordered fajitas I expected fajitas but what I got was more like a chicken stew it was the worst Mexican food I've ever had, the pizzas are frozen so after that we never ate there again. If you want a relaxing holiday in a nice hotel with no entertainment it's great book but if you're under there age of 65 and like a bit of entertainment at night this is not the place for you it felt like sometimes without being rude we was in a retirement home with the age of the guests.

The best thing about going away from home is not having to worry about where you are staying and I was not dissapointed at all. The hotel is just as it is in the photos. Clean, plush and welcoming. We arrived late at night (20/10/23) after waiting 2 hours for our transfer then the travel from Barcelona to the hotel we were tired but welcomed by the wonderful night staff member I think his name was Thorko. He offered us something to eat and explained the hotel facilities. The pool is cold but once you get in its ok and it was fun seeing the look on peoples faces as they got in lol it was a conversation starter. The hotel is located on the beach and near the train station I actually think its the best part of the ***** 5 minutes from Aloha that does the best cocktails and night vibes. All the staff were friendly and the breakfast well I'm missing the breakfast 😀 cava with your freshly made omlette or pancakes, the fruit shots were delicious and how do they make mushrooms taste so good. Best bit was there were no kids!! I would definitely stay here again.

My recent stay at this hotel booked through Loveholidays was an absolute nightmare. I have never been more disappointed with a vacation. Food: The food was extremely bad. It was tasteless, poorly cooked, and barely edible. The limited options were a disgrace, and I wouldn’t serve this to my worst enemy. When reaching the restaurant, some of the food options would already be gone, and there was never a clear sign as to what the dish contained, except for some vague pictures. Rooms: The rooms were old and miserable. The bathroom had broken tiles, and there was a constant bad smell that made the stay unbearable. The condition of the room was disgraceful and far from what was advertised. It doesn’t look anything like the photos—it’s way too old and worn down. Deposits: The hotel demanded a deposit for every single thing we needed, which was absurd. From the outdated safe to the oldest massive keys for the doors that creaked like something out of a horror movie, everything came with a price. Entertainment: The entertainment was extremely bad. The hotel catered mainly to people aged 60+, and the so-called ”entertainment” was non-existent. The main entertainment was basically watching football on the main screen. The programme was poorly planned and rarely followed, leaving us bored and frustrated. Positives: The only good thing about this hotel was the location and the staff members. The location was convenient and the only saving grace. The staff members were friendly and tried their best to help despite the hotel's numerous shortcomings. Overall: This was an overall disappointment. The entire experience was far below the standard, and I regret every moment spent there. The standard of this hotel is definitely not 4 stars. Save your money and avoid this hotel at all costs. Loveholidays should seriously reconsider offering this place to their customers. One star is too generous for this miserable excuse for a hotel.

We just spent a week in this marvelous hotel, a truly 5* hotel. The hotel itself is like brand new, beautiful rooms, great balcony with a fantastic view on the pool and the sea. The garden and the 7 pools are really great. We enjoyed the adult area the most. The food was excellent, especially breakfast. I have to agree with some of the other reviews that the hot food could be a little hotter. The trick is to first make your choice, then pick up a hot plate (very few people notice them in the corner) and pick up your food. That way it stays warmer longer. The hotel is nicely located on the boulevard for a day or evening walk and near the train station, which takes you to any place along the Costa Brava, and to Barcelona in less than 1 h and 15 m. So all in all a great place to stay at and I reommend it to anyone. Note, we found this place quite by chance, since you don't expect such a luxury hotel in Santa Susanna. It's the only one by the way. Thanks to the staff and Ruben for their kind and professional service.
