pierre ottavi 5/5 Repas de déjeuner ce jour en terrasse. Un sans faute ! Cadre très agréable, sur la terrasse qui est à 2 m du ponton des bateaux et qui permet d'admirer la mer, les montagnes, les voiliers et toutes les embarcations environnantes ! Sympathique animation du patron et de ses amis, qui jouent aux boules sur le terrain dédié, avec humour, commentaires ”bien de chez nous” et avec une séance de repêchage d'une boule qui a roulé jusque dans l'eau du port ! Grazia a u pescadoru ch'è ghjuntu justu ! Le repas fut délicieux : les entrées sont fraîches avec de bons produits, copieuses et très bien présentées : Tomates, mozzarella di buffala ou chèvre chaud..un régal ! Le plat du jour : pâtes au homard, dans la même lignée que les entrées, copieuses, ”un veru delizziu !” Sauce parfaite, quantité impressionnante ! Le service est convivial, agréable et attentif ! Quand au dessert, ”tiramisu maison” dont la portion très généreuse suffirait pour deux personnes. Voilà, un repas très réussi, un dépaysement agréable, un cadre de rêve, une équipe accueillante et dynamique ! Grazia a tutti, ci semu campati !

We had a very nice stay here! From the room quality with an amazing sea view, a very beautiful complete breakfast, everything is perfect to fulfill your experience! We also tried both restaurants, the meAl are delicious and are made with high quality ingredients!! Don’t forget to try all the desserts and also the cocktails front of the sunset in the beautiful garden!! It was our first time in Corsica, and nit the last for sure!! Sofitel see you soon!!

Very stylish and relaxing hotel in lovely grounds at the edge of Propriano, which is a 15 minute walk away (20 if you want to go to the far side of town). Beautiful view over the gulf and dramatic sunsets from a fine balcony. Room spacious with good air-con (much-needed). Staff friendly. Two good pools. Ate there one night and the food was very good, although there were no printed menus - QR codes don't work for us so had to order from a tablet. Great breakfast with lots of local produce and very decent coffee from the machine. One quibble: we ordered a cocktail from the pool bar one evening and the barman told us to sit at a table and he'd bring it over. So we waited. And waited. Then we saw him take someone else's order, prepare their drinks and serve them before going to chat to other customers. We waited a little longer then left. Mere forgetfulness? Or anti-Brit bias? No idea. A shame though.

Leesa greeted us professionally on arrival, and provided us with Room 208; one of the historic rooms on the hotel. This generously-sized room had windows/doors opening onto a wrap around balcony so we had east-west AND north-south views. The bathroom also had doors that opened onto the balcony and all had outside shutters so the light an d privacy could be controlled. The room was spotlessly clean, and peaceful, restful and quiet. The bed was comfy, as were the pillows, and the linens were of good quality and expertly laundered. Parking is right on the street, and we had little trouble finding a spot within 50 feet of the door. That said, Leesa said I was lucky to find it. All in all this hotel provided an excellent value and the staff could not have been nicer. The area is great for walking so one we parked the car, we didn’t use it again u til we departed the hotel. There are many attractions bars, restaurants, shops and services within steps of the front door. There is even a proper barber on the same street, and I noticed a place for laundry on our sojourns. The area felt very safe and was well-lit in the evening. Two minimal disappointments and in fairness we didn’t discover them until it was too late to call the desk; -the heated towel rack in our room did not work, so a sink full of laundry didn’t dry overnight. It did dry on the east-west part of the balcony after the sun came up. - a lack of luggage racks in the room. One suit case went on the desk and the others were just on the floor. The wonderful and efficient Leesa also recommended and booked a table for us at Marinette, where we were treated to an excellent meal, prepared by the namesake’s grandson. Leesa also recommended an excellent knitwear designer’s clothing shop across the street, called Nine (pronounced Neene)
