Stop over stay in Dijon en route to Aix. We were there for less than 12 hours and it served it's purpose perfectly well. Sofa bed not the most comfortable but other beds were OK. Unable to order childrens menu for 12 year old children was a bit of a pain. Staff very helpful and put up with my poor French.
The motel was poor but I felt a bit let down. (1) The room stank of stale cigarette smoke. Couldn't change rooms for me as the computer system was down. (2) Had to ask for extra towels. (I booked for 2 persons so should have known i would need more than one hand towel!) (3) Had to ask for tea and coffee. (4) They couldn't provide a second card key. (5) Dead insects on the bed on arrival. (6) Room and bathroom were only superficially clean. Luckily I was only there for 10 hours - just a stop off on a long journey. Asked for a reduction as compensation - nothing offered or proposed - said it couldn't be done. I just couldn't wait to leave the next morning. This would have been average, but the staff were somewhat indifferent. Sort of helpful, but seemed to be an effort for them. I would not recommend this place. Pay an extra €30 and find somewhere better.
Unacceptable! The hotel does not have an elevator, nor staff to help with luggage; the bed is 30 centimeters from the wall, even though the room is large; every evening it was necessary to reactivate the electronic card to access the room; the lamp on the desk has no switch; the shower is in the tub with uncomfortable and slippery access; it is very far from the center and therefore not recommended for tourists. Inacceptable!
We visited on our way to the French Alps. We were welcomed warmly and our booking was confirmed. Our room, on the second floor, was clean, recently refurbished and quiet. The furnishing was typically French minimalist! The bed was comfortable and the airconditioning was quiet. The en suite bathroom was clean and the shower powerful. We ate in the hotel restaurant which had a reasonably priced menu with many suitable choices. The food was served quickly and pleasantly and was very tasty. And the staff were very hepful. The only reason we do not give a score of 5/5 was the smell of drains adjacent to the lift on the ground floor. We will stay again when we travel through France.

While in self-check-in hotels the risk of having some kind of automation failure is always lurking around the corner the experience at this b&b hotel by far was the worst ever. While the day started under a bad star with the EV not wanting to charge and it has been raining each second of the 600km trip the only thing you want arriving at 9:30pm is a good bed, but no way José, this was not what happened. The facts in a row: - the check-in computer asked for my last name, which was not found it said, not with or without spaces, last part first, full first and last name, reversed neither - pushing the help button on the 24/7 assistance phone box only brought automated messages - after 30min of trying, getting very tired and forcing myself not to give up suddenly a human voice replied - while the man on the phone was extremely unfriendly, rude, inpatient with my 80% native speaker level of french, and certainly not service oriented I stayed calm all time not wanting to lose the opportunity of getting a solution - then with the new number he gave me the system retrieved the booking, and asked me to pay full price while it was all confirmed prepaid 2 weeks earlier - not wanting to lose the opportunity I chose to pay again and have it all done but then - it didn't accept any Belgian debit card (mentioned nowhere) and when I then tried my Visa the system then crashed and went into a loop - at that time the procedure had already taken 45min with 5 other travellers standing in line. The time was 10:15pm - sleep in the car but suddenly
Nothing exceptional. Located in an industrial suburb. A couple of supermarkets and hotels around. Close to autoroute and ”route des grands vins”. Good points: Free wifi with fare quality. TV in room. Clean sheets. Parking lot reserved to the hotel. Bad points: The room needs to be refreshed: rust stains, mosture in bathroom. Tobacco smell in the room.
apart from the host, all the rest of the team was great, unfortunately I had to do with the host at my arrival, and there I screwed the cancellation of my night because his hosting cooled me well, briefly if you have luck you will avoid this Mr., old enough, but it doesn't excuse me.
