This is an amazing place - a hotel which dates back and the layout reflects that! We were on the top floor under the roof at the top of three flights of stairs. [I am too old!]. The room was - as I say - under the roof with sloping ceilings with ”Velux” windows which would not stay open. Between the bedroom and bathroom was a diagonal beam just waiting to get my head [didn't!] Blinds in windows block the light. If you book direct rather than through an onlinebooker you get a free breakfast! If I visit again I would simply ask for a more normal and lower room. Staff were great.

Honestly loved it... travelled from Manchester seeing my partner in Lancaster. Usually booked with holiday inn but honestly found this gem last week... the coffee machine Costa coffee loved it... not one bad thing to say I was impressed and the value of money was perfect. I'll be a new regular here. Oh if you like chilling out and watching Netflix itv x or bbc player it's all hooked on the tv which many hotels don't have.

Lovely stay over the weekend while at a training course in Lancaster. The hotel is located in the centre of Lancaster so is really convenient with plenty on your doorstep. The hotel itself has had a refurb and has lovely modern clean rooms. The reception staff were extremely helpful particularly Chelsea who is a credit to the team.

KkimwU5478FYThe B&B was recommended by a friend who had used it when daughter was at Lancaster University. My own daughter was starting at same University so booked. We arrived late afternoon and received a warm, friendly welcome after a long journey from Kent. We had a twin bedroom with en-suite shower. The room had lovely views across to Bowland Fells in the distance. A small fridge on landing contained individually room numbered small bottles of milk for tea or coffee, which was a really nice thought. Our hosts recommended a village pub, The Manor, a short drive away for dinner. which suited our purposes. Beds were very comfortable and the view in the morning was improved even more by the sun rising. Plenty of Covid strategies in place to prevent guests from mingling to the extent that the lounge had been turned into a 2nd breakfast room so guests could eat seperately. The breakfast menu had a variety of options. I chose the full English, which was hot and tasty. The only downside to our stay was the limited breakfast choice for my vegan daughter, who opted for mushrooms on toast. The hosts were very accommodating in finding non dairy spread for the toast, but the addition of a few more vegan friendly foods would go a long way... perhaps avocado on toast or vegan sausages? Definately value for money in a pleasant location and would be happy to return when visiting daughter.

Gym, pool and sauna were an added bonus with a high standard of attention to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Thanks for a great stay - will definitely come back when possible. : )

GGuest UserThe stay was great. Trudell at the front desk was awesome. Friendly and efficient is exactly what I needed after a long drive. The room was fine and the conference space worked well for my needs. The exhibit room was a bit chilly and the fans were really high. Overall great stay.
