Lovely staff, food and room with a balcony. We stayed 4 nights here for Christmas, on getting to our room we found the heating not working, a lovely young man called Andrew came and tried to sort it out he couldn’t so brought us a small heater to use, also he couldn’t get rid of the subtitles on the tv so we spent 4 nights with them on the tv screen ( very annoying) The lift stopped working ( not their fault) but with me being disabled I found it very hard to climb up and down 4 flights of stairs so for the last day and night we had food (sandwiches) in our room 🥹 But, we can’t fault the staff and the food and we will stay with them again.

This was the first time we had used a self service hotel, we were impressed with the facilities, it had a communal kitchen and lounge the bedroom was comfortable and clean, we had a fridge which had the continental breakfast in and on (which you were asked to eat in the kitchen). If and when we go to Lincoln again this hotel will be looked at first.

Well presented rooms, professional & attentive reception staff. Very clean, bright & warm. Bed was so comfortable and large. Only downside was a £15:00 taxi journey each way to the historical cathedral area. If you enjoy Tapas head for OleOle - one of the best Spanish restaurants I’ve visited in the UK

I am an ancient and reasonably crusty retired Army officer. My cum and I visited Duke William for a meal. We walked in at 7 o'clock (1900hrs in real time) and It was heaving! Think pre-Covid rush-hour Underground train. A polite young man (Josh) pointed us (combined age 170) in the right direction. The restaurant was fully booked, and thus we had to return to Josh to order our food. The meal was served remarkably promptly by a charming young lady (Lisa) and was jolly good ('pub grub') in every respect - except: the portions were far too large! When we left, about 2100hrs, the place seemed even fuller, with a mix of all ages present. In addition to the great crowd there was an eclectic selection of well-behaved dogs. I cannot comment of cost, as neither of us had visited a pub since before the wretched Covid. Well done all concerned at 'Duke William', and thanks.

Found this little gem and so glad we did. Our room was lovely, a good size, nicely decorated and a very comfy bed. Big bathroom with a great shower and plenty of towels. Everything was spotlessly clean. Parking the car was easy (and free), the staff are lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. The pub itself is brilliant, some proper characters in there and very good prices in the bar; I actually asked the barman if he’d charged us enough on our first round as it was very cheap! It’s about 15 minutes walk into town or £6.50 in a taxi. All in all, a brilliant stay and if visiting Lincoln again would definitely consider it.

GGuest UserI am an ancient and reasonably crusty retired Army officer. My cum and I visited Duke William for a meal. We walked in at 7 o'clock (1900hrs in real time) and It was heaving! Think pre-Covid rush-hour Underground train. A polite young man (Josh) pointed us (combined age 170) in the right direction. The restaurant was fully booked, and thus we had to return to Josh to order our food. The meal was served remarkably promptly by a charming young lady (Lisa) and was jolly good ('pub grub') in every respect - except: the portions were far too large! When we left, about 2100hrs, the place seemed even fuller, with a mix of all ages present. In addition to the great crowd there was an eclectic selection of well-behaved dogs. I cannot comment of cost, as neither of us had visited a pub since before the wretched Covid. Well done all concerned at 'Duke William', and thanks.

GGuest UserWe booked 2 rooms on a Sunday of the bank holiday to catch up with family in Lincoln. It could have been a disaster with the steam punk festival being held the same weekend and making the city super busy however, the hotel team were great in giving me information in advance such as regarding parking. We received a warm welcome from James on arrival, great service from the lady at the bar when we arrived back after a night in the town centre, and there was a good selection of breakfast food for all, including sausages cooked for our vegetarian son. Thank you for a great stay team!

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 nights so we could visit the International Bomber Command Center, and Leconfield. Loved the location on Bradford Wharf. Initially we were confused as to whether we could drive on the wharf as it was designated a pedestrian zone, but we soon worked it out when we saw other cars parked there. Breakfasts were great, breakfast staff lovely and helpful. Staff in general were friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, and quiet. We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Would stay again, and would recommend it.

GGuest UserStayed for 4 nights whilst we explored and enjoyed Lincoln and the surrounding area. The room was spacious and well furnished. Linen was perfect. As someone who prefers a firm bed, I was quite happy with the mattress on the bed. The bathroom was tidy and well appointed, nothing to complain about. Just a little disappointed that there was no actual window to enjoy. Had no problem with air conditioning, although I'm not a fan of not having a choice. We stayed on a half-board basis and the food was absolutely fine. Not everything was exactly my choice, but it was perfectly acceptable. More importantly, was the response of the staff. From the General Manager down, and I chatted with him without knowing who he was, everyone was absolutely lovely. Jane, the lady who served us at breakfast each morning and Tom, who took care of us in the evening, were real examples of what good service is all about, and although I didn't catch everybody's name, all the staff were great. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

GGuest UserWell presented rooms, professional & attentive reception staff. Very clean, bright & warm. Bed was so comfortable and large. Only downside was a £15:00 taxi journey each way to the historical cathedral area. If you enjoy Tapas head for OleOle - one of the best Spanish restaurants I’ve visited in the UK

GGuest UserLovely staff, food and room with a balcony. We stayed 4 nights here for Christmas, on getting to our room we found the heating not working, a lovely young man called Andrew came and tried to sort it out he couldn’t so brought us a small heater to use, also he couldn’t get rid of the subtitles on the tv so we spent 4 nights with them on the tv screen ( very annoying) The lift stopped working ( not their fault) but with me being disabled I found it very hard to climb up and down 4 flights of stairs so for the last day and night we had food (sandwiches) in our room 🥹 But, we can’t fault the staff and the food and we will stay with them again.
