The location is really remote. It takes about 20 minutes to go to the tram or bus station, and 30 minutes to the nearby city center. If you don't have a car, don't stay here. Other facilities are also available, but the traffic is inconvenient!
My mother and I stayed here for our first two days of our vacation (June 20th & 21st) and were very pleased. Cora and Felicia at Reception are wonderful, very warm and welcoming. Check in was quick and efficient. Throughout our stay they were more than happy to answer all of our questions, give recommendations, order taxis, basically anything we needed. We were given room 22 in the courtyard. The room was large and clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was large, clean and well stocked. Each room has a kettle, tea bags, coffee, milk and sugar. Sharon (Housekeeping Manager) brought us a large teapot which was greatly appreciated as my mother and I are big tea drinkers in the mornings. Dinner and drinks in the bar were wonderful. Jamie (Bartender) is amazing! He is very friendly and attentive with everyone. The food was delicious and drinks were plentiful. We enjoyed our stay so much we returned for our last night in Ireland (June 28th). Everyone remembered us. Jamie even remembered our favorite drinks and how we like them made. When they found out it was my birthday they brought me my favorite desert with candles in it then sang me Happy Birthday!! We would 100% recommend this hotel.
Jinyu outside, inside is similar to the homestay...
The room is large and the two people live in a spacious room;
The hotel's breakfast buffet can be considered average;
Parking is not expensive;
Dinner, remember to order beef package, the price is OK.

The room was lovely, most staff polite the only thing that let it down was the room cleaning our bins where not emptied the whole weekend and coffees, toilet rolls etc were only replenished once, having asked 3 times for extra nothing came ,I ended up getting milk from the restaurant , would stay again though close to shops, luas etc
Stayed here last week before a concert, and flying out the day after. We booked two rooms, a family room and a double room for my elderly mother. When we checked in, the air conditioning in the family room was not working. It was one of the hottest days of the year, so we called reception who sent someone up. They couldn’t understand the fault code and said there was nothing they could do so they said they’d bring a portable AC unit. They came back shortly after with a tiny, I mean tiny desk plugin fan as they couldn’t find the AC unit. Unacceptable considering we paid almost €250 for the night for the room. If it wasn’t for the cleaning lady, who made it her business to insist BOTH rooms were moved to another floor with working AC. She was AMAZING. I really don’t recall her name but I think it was Anna - we stayed on Thursday 20th June so hotel management can identify her that way. Reception didn’t really seem interesting but Anna personally did. She arranged for the rooms to be moved and even carried our stuff between all the rooms too! She deserves a raise. Please pass the note to her manager.
I booked one night at the Plaza Hotel, and I will never come back here. A very noisy hotel, I returned from the airport at night and thought I would sleep, but early in the morning at 7 o'clock the staff began to make noise in the corridor, they slammed the doors from the pantry and the doors of the landing very hard , asked not to clap, but after 10 minutes everything happened again. My number was 333. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and I myself will never go back there.
The hotel is clean, bright, well equipped, cleaned every day, and the price is better. It is just 40 to 50 minutes away from the city by bus. The departure gate is very convenient.
This hotel looks impressive when you pull up & enter the reception & public areas but less impressive are the rooms very small with a small double bed 2 chairs 2 tables one being a desk in the bathroom the shower was very small & not very good outside our window was a very big metal tube that hummed all day & night we ask to change rooms but were told they were fully booked I had about 4 hours sleep a day which isn’t good as for the breakfast it was the usual Irish breakfast which was bland the fried eggs were hard scrambled were full of water even salt & pepper didn’t help choice was limited especially for a diabetic who can’t eat bread crumpets would have been nice & tinned tomatoes as an alternative to baked beans grilled tomatoes are not to my taste
The location was great for my purpose, I had some business to attend to in Fonthill and the hotel was a stone's throw away. Still needed to drive but it was a 5min drive.
It is also walking distance from Liffey Valley shopping mall. Its a typical large mall with decent restaurants and a cinema.
The hotel is connected to a fitness centre (like a health club) and it offers a gym and swimming pool. Entry is free for hotel guests. Go early, the pool gets crowded after 8.30am.
There is ample parking and it's available at a concessionary rate.
My only grouse was the lack of toiletries provided. Thankfully I had brought my own set. The toilet only has hand soap and shampoo (but the dispenser was almost empty).
Other than that, the room was spacious, clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Worth staying at if you need to be in that area.
