Toyoko Inn is about a 5-minute walk from the east exit of Kashiwa Station. Toyoko Inn is also located at the west exit of Kashiwa Station. The east exit seems to be newer. Equipment etc. are standard for Toyoko Inn. There is a shower from the ceiling in the bathroom. The lobby is also spacious. It is a functional business hotel.

It was a middle day of three consecutive holidays, but it was quite vacant due to the influence of the new coronavirus, so I should have made it the cheapest type of room, but I was glad that it was upgraded to a room with a large bed. At first I thought it was caused by the water, but I didn't mind during the bath, and for the first time after taking a bath, I found out that the cause of the strange odor was from the bath towel. After being separated from our son and daughter-in-law for three years due to the pandemic travel restrictions, we were at last able to fly from the UK to visit them. We have stayed in the Crest Hotel before so we knew it was a great hotel, and this time it was just as good. We traveled around a bit so checked in and out of the Crest 3 times and each time was smooth and problem free. Our room had an impressive view over the city and out to Tokyo and mount Fuji on a clear day. Thanks to all of the staff who looked after us from the front desk to the restaurant, everyone went out of their way to look after us. We fully recommend anyone who is visiting Kashiwa for pleasure or business to stay here. It’s right next to the station with fast connections to Narita, Tokyo and Haneda. We will be back!

Business hotel on the west exit of Kashiwa station and Takashimaya. Just from the station, there are many convenience stores and restaurants around, which is convenient. The facilities are old, but the lobby is large, and the coffee machine in the lobby is free to use during your stay. Wifi is comfortable.

Because it is a hotel developed nationwide, the sense of security, the room and the service are not very different. However, there are many developments in front of the station, and it was a very convenient location here among this hotel chains. From the west exit of Kashiwa station, we were able to climb the concourse of the station on the ２～３ minute and ２ floor by escalator. The department store, convenience store also had １ minutes and the restaurant choice was substantial. Also, breakfast was changed from breakfast with only old rice balls and coffee to breakfast with several kinds of side dishes and rice, and I felt that it was more substantial than in the past. However, the offer from ７ in the morning was a bit late, and as expected, it was complicated and I felt inconvenient. It was roughly as expected, so I will use it next time.

I stayed here for two weeks in June 2023 for budo training w/ a group of training friends. Overall I had a very good experience. There was some interior maintenance happening at the time, so there was no breakfast offered, but there are many options nearby, so that was not a problem. The elevators were also under maintenance, so until the last few days of the trip, there was only one available, and it was _extremely_ blue. I stayed in a non-smoking room and it was perfectly fine, though they do have smoking floors, so if you get off on the wrong floor, it can be a bit much. I don't recall smelling smoke at any other time, so it was not an issue. Otherwise the rooms were completely adequate to my needs, as I largely spent my time out and about, and I found that I had more than enough space without having nearly so much as in a typical American hotel. It took me a bit of tinkering on the first night to sort out the room-key-in-slot-for-power setup, but after that it was easy to work with. Amenities are spread out a bit across floors, but there are signs which direct you where you need to go. The washers and dryers in the hotel laundry were rather old and a bit small, but that was not surprising, and they worked well enough for doing mid-trip laundry. The location was great, right next to Kashiwa Station, which was of course the starting point for much of the group's travel. Desk staff were also great, especially Mindy, who was _extremely_ helpful when one of our group got injured and needed help acquiring crutches. All told I will absolutely consider staying here again when I plan my next trip.

I visited for lunch this time. Lunch is ＞ Weekly fish and meat dishes, from standard menus to seasonal menus for each season. The main one selection side menu (side dishes) and drinks are all-you-can-eat ＆ all-you-can-drink half-viking style. (90 minutes system) Every time you visit the store, you can enjoy a fresh feeling (transfer from the website), so I chose fried oysters as the main dish. It's small but delicious. I also listed bad points, including the points I wanted to improve, but I was almost satisfied except for the terrible smell when I put tea, so I will visit again. If you can have lunch at this price, if you live within walking distance, you can visit once a week. However, the water was really terrible, so I reduced it by one ☆ to four.
