I have to admit, we absolutely loved our stay here. The people were so accommodating and friendly. The location is on a steep hill, most cars won't make it up but walking down and up takes about 5 minutes or a tub tuk can get you there. The view is amazing and worth the walk. It's so close to the main road and close to main attractions (about 20min walk) the room was comfortable, warm, clean. The breakfast was some fruit, with eggs made according to your choice, some toast and they even let us try the coconut pancakes which were so yummy. Everything was amazing. We were so happy there and will definitely stay there again.

Exceptional service from the owner who couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed delicious dinner and food at breakfast too. He arranged a tuc tuc for us to go sightseeing and a trip to the local tea farm. Our room was comfortable and overlooked the beautiful countryside. I would recommend.

I recently stayed three nights at Ella Green cottages with my soon (13) and we had a lovely experience. The cozy cottages are nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush greenery, which gave it a serene and peaceful jungle atmosphere with birds and small monkeys playing around. The cottages themselves were cozy and comfortable, with the necessary amenities to make the stay comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfast each morning. Pancakes, toast, fresh fruits, omelets and various traditional Sri Lankan foods. The host was very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make os feel comfortable and ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Ella Green cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature. The cozy cottages, delicious homecooked breakfast, and warm hospitality make it an excellent choice for a memorable getaway. Pernille, Copenhagen - Denmark

What's the most important thing in traveling? It is of course a high-quality accommodation for the hotel control.
The EKHO hotel is on the edge of Eller town, not far from the main street, making it easy to travel. The characteristics of a good hotel are: clean, quiet, comfortable and modern, rich breakfast, and warm staff. Seems very ordinary ... However, isn't it very unusual to encounter a hotel without regret during the trip.

Great location - the hotel is on an uphill road just minutes from Ella Town. Rooms were cosy and had a great view of the Ella Gap [Ella Rock and Mini Adam's Peak] - so we suggest getting superior rooms. We loved the hospitality of Tharindu, Kavindu and Ajay - they were great in giving us tips to make the most of our trip and just being wonderful overall. The breakfast buffet didn't have a massive spread, but it was good, and the ala carte options were great. We hear they will add a pool soon so that's a plus when visiting next time.

We have stayed in a family room for one night on a busy long weekend & wished we could stay longer there. With the narrow approach road & parking, which is common to the Ella area, we had doubts , but the owner Mr Manjula & his staff were attentive & had solutions to the comfort of every guest with no hazzle. Food was very tasty & served on time & though the place was full we were welcome any time with good sevice even at short notice. Room with Beddings & Bath were clean & nice and had enough space. View from the room balcony of Ella rock was pleasing & with greenery around, the birds were a plenty with their songs. Though it was a short stay, with their little input from staff we could use the time well & visited the surrounding attractions & it was time well spent. All in all we really enjoyed our stay & so a big Thank you to Rock side Inn.

LLucien P. FantkeGreat service from both brothers. Fantastic view. Great guidance and explanation. We had one brother showing us the temple which you see from your window in one of the two houses. We chose the deluxe version. Wonderful balcony. Location is great for the view but it takes a little to get to downtown. You are actually in Kitalella and not Ella. 800-1000 rupees for a tuk tuk ride to get from Momo to downtown Ella. Overall fantastic experience.

GGuest UserThis homestay was perfect for me! Originally booked it only for two nights and stayed there in total for one week. I loved everything about it. Ruwan, the owner and his family were so kind and always ready to help. The breakfast + dinner was also super delicious! The location is convenient as well and the view you get from the balcony is simply amazing! Perfect for watching the sunrise or sunset. All in all: It was such a wonderful + peaceful stay and I'm really looking forward to coming back! Thank you so much Ruwan, see you soon!!!

GGuest UserI travel solo and I prefer quiet and peaceful places where I can't hear the noise of the city or the music from the night clubs. So Nature Nest was just perfect for me. I liked everything. The room was light and spacious, a comfortable bad, a big bathroom with hot shower and a nice balcony made my stay cozy and pleasant. And it was so nice to hear the chirping of birds outside in the morning. It took me about 10 minutes to walk down to Ella and maybe a little more to walk up. And every time the walk in the nature was nice and pleasant. Sampat and Nadeeka were really helpful, they gave me many useful tips and good advice about Ella and Sri Lanka and I just had a great time talking with them. The food they cooked was really delicious and also they were so kind to give me a cooking lesson and even a ride when I needed it. I highly recommend the Nature Nest to anyone who values comfort and calmness. And I will be glad to come back if I have such a chance.

GGuest UserA fantastic hotel in Ella situated a short uphill walk from the main town but is well worth it as the hotel is very quiet and has amazing views of Little Adams Peak, Ella Rock and Ella Gap. Rooms are large, clean and the beds are super comfortable with mosquito nets. Breakfast is 11/10! I’d also recommend walking to Nine Arch Bridge and Ella Rock along the train tracks which are only 100m from the hotel. There is also a fantastic viewing/reading platform with panoramic views. The only slight downfall was that our check in was delayed just over an hour but this didn’t affect our stay. I would recommend this to others and would stay here again!

DDanumI love how secluded it is from Ella center yet still walkable. Very quiet and peaceful. It’s clean and the staff are so caring and helpful.

Ccoo***anThe food was good, fresh and the service was classic. The restaurant is simply and lovelyly furnished, blending the feel and feel of the mountains. The staff is polite and gives you the space you need to gather yourself after a long journey on the winding road. Close to the restaurant is the tea house, arguably the best. The variety of teas is beautifully packaged, making them ideal for spreading gifts or offering their own gifts in a variety of mixed flavors. The price is reasonable and the knowledge about tea is admirable marketing. The tea factory in the building next door and the wonderful tea garden behind it make you worth a visit.
Ravana's Cave
22880000016Lavana El Cave is a relatively small attraction, the guide driver said it could jail the princess in the past, it is incredible how the princess spent such a difficult day. The cave is also very story to tell, the tour guide driver said that it was inhabited more than 20,000 years ago, which may be similar to the life scene of China's matrilineal society. The caves are relatively primitive, some vague murals, but they really don't understand what they mean, and the driver can't say it.
