I give a big thumbs up to Ctrip Hotel's service. The whole service was very considerate and patient in answering questions. The connection service of Madai Hotel is also very smooth. When the hotel on the island is off the water, Feifei will take the initiative to call the front desk of the hotel and provide free pick-up and drop-off. A breakfast box is also provided the next morning.

Pros: the hotel provides a transfer from the airport and back, which is included in the room rate. There is a toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. We did not like the room we were placed in. It was on the second floor, the front door almost hit the bed when opened. The room was very cramped and stuffy. When the window was opened, there was no ventilation, and it was impossible to sleep with the air conditioner, since it blew on the bed in any mode, and therefore on the whole body and face. It was also very noisy, we did not get a room with a sea view, but on Raiyvilla Hingun Street. There were no slippers, shampoo, conditioner or soap in the room. There was practically no toilet paper left from the previous guests. When we asked for paper at the reception that evening when we checked in, we were told that they would bring a roll, but nothing was brought either in the evening or in the morning. We did not like the breakfast at the hotel. We assumed that there would be a buffet, but there was no choice at all. I would like to see Mas Huni as a breakfast - this is a traditional breakfast in the Maldives, consisting of tuna, onions, coconut and chili. In fact, they brought an omelet, sausages, bread, butter, hash browns, fruits and coffee. In this hotel we were not able to get enough sleep because of the noise and stuffiness, breakfast was also not a success, I only drank coffee and ate bread and butter. In the end, I think that $ 100 per night is expensive for such a service.

It feels quite close to Male Airport, take a taxi and cross a bridge, then shuttle in the alleys, it takes about 10-15 minutes to arrive. The boss is a German who has lived in the Maldives for more than ten years. Two days before the arrival day, the boss Thomas began to contact us by email, including when we arrived, how much luggage, how many people and so on. After customs clearance on the day of arrival, Thomas' staff has already picked up the guests with a sign at the hotel entrance (free pick-up service is included in my reservation). He greeted us at the door before arriving at his small hotel. Very polite and caring. If there is no problem with your communication needs, the boss Thomas will give you a lot of tips for traveling on the island, such as how much local currency is appropriate to exchange, what local regulations are there, and so on. It is very important that this hotel should be the best Thai restaurant on Male Island. Very authentic thanks to the owner Thomas should have some stories in Thailand, there is no gossip about the specifics. If you eat a meal in person, the boss will recommend and serve you personally. Don't order too much. The next day we went to the resort island. It was a very pleasant day to stay in this hotel on Male Island. It is very convenient to buy swimming goggles, clothes, shoes and other necessary items in the hotel. In Muslim countries, alcohol and tobacco are prohibited, you can ask the boss.

I was staying overnight in Malé for business, so this hotel was recommended as it was relatively close to where I would be working. As with any hotel, you need to manage your expectation based on the purpose, the price and the hotel category. I wasn't expecting anything too elaborate, so I wasn't surprised. The reception area is small, but functional. The process was quite quick and I was given my key. The lift is small but functional. I entered my room and it had everything I needed; clean bed, bathroom, desk and TV (not that I needed the latter!). I really only needed a place to sleep, shower and dress, so it was ideal. Saying that, it's very basic. There's nothing wrong with the place, but it depends on the reason you are staying there. If it's budget, then you should expect what you get! The only strange thing was the hot water system in the bathroom. Other than that, it was fine. I enjoyed a cool night's sleep! Breakfast was included in my package. Again, don't expect too much. You order from the menu and they serve you in a very basic cafe style area which is next to the check in reception area. It's fine as it's slightly separated. The breakfast was okay. Nothing too elaborate, but then again, you get what you pay for. It was good enough for me! Would I stay here again? On business, for 1 night? Yes, sure. Why not?

Clean, comfortable rooms in the centre of Male. A great option for a good value stay on the island. Nice extra amenities and comfortable communal seating areas, with balconies for a view of the city beneath. Would definitely look to stay again when passing through.

”We arrived on October 1st, taking a late-night flight, so we decided to stay on the mainland and travel to the resort the next day. When we arrived, it was pouring rain, and we were very happy with this decision. Our reservation included free transportation, which proved to be extremely convenient. Prior to our arrival, the hotel had provided us with instructions, and as per those instructions, Andrew, the hotel manager and an all-rounder, picked us up from the airport. We noticed long queues for taxis, but we didn't have to endure that, thanks to the complimentary transportation. It was a significant advantage of booking with this hotel, and the drive to the hotel was only about 10 minutes. The hotel check-in process went smoothly, and all the standard facilities were fully available. We had dinner through our reservation, and it was one of the best meals we've had, both in terms of quality and affordability. The next day, the hotel coordinated with our resort and arranged the drop-off for us by 12:00 PM. The organization was excellent, and special thanks go to Andrew, who ensured that our short stay was highly memorable. This is the best place to stay on the mainland before you head to your dream resort.”

I stayed only for one night and during my whole stay construction was going on. It was not so pleasant when you tired to hear that noice. However, reception staff are all super polite and friendly and helpful all the time. I requested a late checkout which I was provided. Furthermore it was a Friday and I need to visit mosque to pray but I did not have proper uniform but hotel staff helped me to sort out this case and I am really glad for that. Room was super clean and super cozy, I loved it. However, towel was only one for 2 people, I did not know why. As my partner was flying abroad, I was the only one who used that towel. At the end of my stay, I left from this hotel with a full of positive emotions and honestly I recommend to all. Minor things can happen even in 5* luxuries resorts as well, as per my work experience. The price of the pick-up and drop-off arranged by the hotel is 25 US dollars. It is very cost-effective. The room is one of the 2 bedroom suites. It shares the kitchen with another room. There is a separate bathroom. The environment of Male is really not good.
