Not the best, not the worst. Staff was really nice to my mom and me. It's an older building, but it's well-maintained and clean. It's fine if you need somewhere to sleep. If you need super new and modern, stay somewhere else, but again, it's fine here.
We booked 2 rooms one with 2 double beds and a pull out couch and one with a king bed and a pull out couch. The room with the two double beds was much more spacious and had much more room in the kitchen area including an area to eat as well. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Rooms are starting to need some upkeep. The carpet was needing some repair and the kitchen cupboards needed repair as well. But overall it’s a great spacious room. They do need more cooking utensils and cook wear if you plan on cooking as they don’t have much to work with. The free breakfast was great, the lady hosting and making breakfast was a bit grumpy though. The lady who checked us in Friday night was fantastic went above and beyond! The pool was beautiful! And nice and warm!
This is the first negative review I have ever left for any Marriott property as a lifetime Gold status member. The check in was awkward in that the person at the front desk did her best to talk us out of checking in. We were told they might be sold out (without checking the system). I asked if she was sure, since the app showed vacancies shortly prior to arriving. She also mentioned the price of the second night as being over $430 (I assume to discourage me from checking). Once we booked via the app at the front desk, she dismissively gave us our key, ”you're all set then.” No gracious (and very standard) ”thank you for being a loyal member; please contact us with any questions, etc.” Zero stars for front desk, more on that later. Maid service is 5 star, so is the restaurant/bar staff. Both beyond friendly. The rooms are 3 star. The hotel lobby is very nice, and it seems any remodel budget was spent on the shared spaces. The rooms are basically Courtyard rooms with laminate floors that replaced the carpeting. The furniture is dated. The bathrooms are nothing special or updated. I was hoping check in was just a bad day, but we had to deal with the same person on our last day of a 2 night stay. We were politely asked (don't recall the gentleman's name) the previous night to call after 8am for late check out on the morning of. Called at 8 AM. The same person from check in (Kimberly) was asked for late check out, she was having none of it. Politely reminded of status and asked for an hour, she said ”not at this time.” Did not argue. We accepted defeat and checked out at 11 AM as required. Tough to defend the one employee who greets and sends off a guest being so sour on inquiries from loyal guests. There's other great Detroit options. Don't let this speak for all Marriott properties, though.

I have stayed here many times in the past, but this visit was horrendous! I arrived there about 12:30/1 am and there was some kind of “party” in the patio area right outside the front desk area. There were about 15-20 people, liquor bottles all over the table, people smoking cigars, no where really to park, and it was not the first thing I wanted to see when I got to my hotel after a long day (on a WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY at 1 am)! I also “checked in online” the day before and was waiting for my mobile key (or so I thought), but never got a key so I was told to go to the front desk so I did. When I got there and gave her my ID it was taking a while so I asked was there an issue? I didn’t get an answer so I told her I checked in online everything should be ok, well I was told “we don’t do online checkin or have mobile keys here so I’m finding your room now.” Wow!! I was also asked to sign a form to acknowledge the “quiet hours” starting at 10 pm, no smoking and no party policy”. That was fine (even though there was a full fledge “party” a few steps away! I also pointed out their form said the room deposit said $100 per day and when asked to clarify I was told, it didn’t matter what it stated it is $100 total! Smdh!! THEN to make matters worse, the elevator didn’t work!! I was in the 3rd building on the 3rd floor and had to lug all my luggage up the stairs! The hallway had sheets thrown on the floor and when I got to my room the air conditioner was running! No problem, I’ll just turn it off right! NO! I switch it off NOTHING, I turned up the temp expecting the heat to come on, but more cold air came out!! So I called the front desk to ask if I could have another room because the air wouldn’t shut off. I was told there are no more rooms and maintenance is offsite until tomorrow, so I asked am I supposed to freeze? She apologized and said there’s nothing she could do until the next day! Huh!! I kept messing with the thermostat and end up trying the “heat emerg” setting and the heat finally kicked on. I was able to set the temp at about 79 and once the room got to 79 it finally cut off. The room was also dirty and the toilet took 30-45 mins to fill, so when the maintenance guy came the next day at about 11:30 am, I told him what happen with the thermostat & he was nice but he didn’t know exactly what the problem was to fix it! At that point I was frustrated and just said if it stays off at the “heat emerg” setting I was fine. I told him about the toilet and he did fix that with a new part. The elevator worked early that day, but when I returned Thursday night it was off again!! There was (what I later learned) a “family staying next door and also across the hall. Well I guess they could not get adjoining rooms so they kept their doors open with the latch keeping the door ajar so EVERYTIME, they went in and out you heard the doors banging against the metal hook. I don’t know if they were living there or what but they were there my entire 5.5 days and
Overall, the hotel is clean and well maintained. However When we arrived to check in, our room was not ready until around 3:25 PM which was very disappointing, as we were very tired from driving long hours.
During the night, the cleaning guy at the lobby was very noisy, speaking loudly on his phone speaker, while we were trying to relax and have coffee, thus we left the whole lobby for him and went to our rooms.
I really like this hotel. Opposite the Ford Motor Company, the hotel helped upgrade to a double bed room, clean and comfortable, there are many pictures of Ford in the hotel, and the swimming pool.

GGuest UserStayed 2 days, and although there were a couple of minor issues—such as a dirty soap dish, someone else’s food in the room fridge, & a shower curtain that was hung so that it was an inch above the top of the tub so that a lot of water came out onto the floor creating a major fall hazard, on our way back through town a couple of days later we decided to stay one more night due to the proximity to the Henry Ford Museum. That was a mistake! Arrived & went to go take a shower only to discover the towels that were folded & placed on the shelf in the bathroom were wet—not a little damp, but WET! Not acceptable. Took them to the front desk & was given a new set of towels that were dry. A few minutes later went to grab a tissue to blow my nose & no tissues. Back to the front desk to get tissues. Went to bed. Within a couple of minutes, I was itching all over! Got out of bed & exposed skin was red (would’ve taken a picture but all the lights in the room & bathroom were so dim that I had difficulty seeing & couldn’t get my phone camera to focus). Tried going to bed again & immediately started itching again. Got up & put on sweatpants & sweatshirt to cover all my skin & used a shirt to cover the pillowcase & laid on top of the covers in order to not have any exposed skin against bedding. No itching upon lying down again. Woke every hour hot as the AC wouldn’t stay on & room kept heating back up & I had to keep all skin covered in order to not react to the bedding. Got up early as I gave up on sleep. Notified front desk of issues & requested to speak to manager to request refund. Was refused, saying manager was at hotel next door. Front desk staff said they’d have manager contact me. That didn’t happen. Front desk called later in the day & offered 20% off my next stay at that hotel—not ok as I will never stay there again. Requested to speak directly with manager. Over a week later & have not heard a thing. Do not stay here!

XXIThe room was clean and tidy, the bed was large, very comfortable, and there was a sofa bed, and the springs were all protruding. Breakfast is good. The location is very close to Ford, and it is also the main purpose of choosing here. There are not many places to eat around, there is a Pizza Hut nearby.

GGuest UserWe travel frequently from Toronto to events at the Henry Ford / Greenfield Village and have been staying at this location for over 15 years. Covid border closures kept us (like most Canadians) away the past few years, and during this time we'd heard concerns about safety and quality at this location. Well, we just returned from our third exceptional stay (in as many months) and whatever issues may have existed before, this location has proven again that a true commitment by management and staff to the property and caring about guests safety and security is the sort of thing only guest reviews can truly reveal. There are an abundance of other reasons why we'll continue to return again and again, starting with the remarkable Miss Kay to Freddie and everyone else who makes visiting so special. We love that we can bring even our cherished collector cars with the confidence and convenience of parking right by our room door. The location is excellent, security and oversight unmatched. Thank you to the staff RRI 182 for all your efforts to keep us happy and regularly returning guests!
TTravellerbychoiceAmazing museum to witness the journey of automobile industry. All kinds of vehicles including planes, cars, trains all under one roof. worth visiting for both kids and adults. Spare at least 4-5 hours for the trip.
风风吹乌云散The retro trains and T-cars make you feel as if you have traveled through the early nineteenth century. The bells before driving and the attendance of the station staff make you feel very warm. The grandfather who drives the T-car seems to be traveling with the car to the present world. He enthusiastically explains the characteristics of the car and the story of the car. He is very happy. He also says hello in Chinese. Goodbye, lovely.
小小鱼儿2015Ford Manor is also a private villa of the founder of the car brand Ford. The whole manor is also quite large. You can see many good facilities here. The huge garden is also very attractive.
