The most thunder-stepped accommodation in this trip, the night of the stay, called for a long time to come out to receive the staff, the room is not air-conditioned, the breakfast is not delicious, it is said that it is a sea view, the location is close, the room can not see the sea, the place to eat breakfast can see, the room appearance picture is very good, close to see the lack of maintenance, Uninhabited. Look at the rating, it is not reliable.
The hotel is so beautiful, there is a large internal area, you need to drive from the iron gate for ten minutes, along the beautiful road, there are small wild boars on the road, next to the waterfall, there is a waterfall behind the hotel room, only for internal residents , You can swim and boat in the pond under the waterfall, and you can also participate in their rich activities such as climbing from the waterfall or visiting their farm. Breakfast is delicious. We did not have the opportunity to have dinner. It is said that it is their chef’s no-menu dinner. They use fresh ingredients from their own farm, which is a little regrettable. I highly recommend it. I will stay a few more days next time.
Excellent location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and generous with their time. When we travel inter island, we always stay with Family. The aloha and hospitality here made us right at home, adding to a memorable experience for our Ohana vacation.
Hilo doesn't have many resorts like Kona, the hotels here are very average. This hotel is OK, the environment is good, the key is free parking, and it's not far from the volcano
Hilton brand used to be my hotel of choice. After some very disappointing stays toward the end of Covid I decided I was switching to anything but Hilton. I should have stuck with my commitment. As the previous poster said our room ($350) was very small. The corridors were old and dingy. When I walked into the room I went to look out the window and there was a view of a rooftop, a large dumpster of trash and a delapidated building with graffiti. In fact there are several abandoned buildings surrounding the property so the area isn’t great. They still don’t have daily housekeeping. I have been in Hawaii for 10-days now and my other hotels all had daily cleaning and it was excellent. There is no excuse for Hilton to not being this service back. That is a key reason people like to stay at hotels vs VRBOs. Hilton is putting the savings in their own pocket as their rates haven’t been adjust to reflect the significant reduction in service. Luckily we are only staying one night. The checkin was nice and the agent was friendly. The grounds (toward the water) were nice. I also agree with the other poster as I question why a resort fee at this property. If you get an ocean view room and don’t mind the lack of maid service then you should be ok. Definitely don’t stay in the odd numbered rooms in the ancillary building or you will view the ghetto.
What a gem. This place is clean, cool, restful, a tropical oasis. And a great base to explore all that the east side of the big island has to offer… which is a lot. Easy 5 min walk into town with all its restaurants, coffee shops, museums etc. Yet removed from the hubbub. Spacious, cool (great crossbreeze, despite the lack of AC), even had a TV that got the Olympics which we were psyched about. Friendly and knowledgable staff who gave us great tips. Will stay at Dolphin Bay again for sure!

GGuest UserThis place is a gem in Hilo! Went here after a full day of hiking and so glad I did. I was traveling solo and felt very safe here - Bob was very welcoming and this place had everything I needed and more. Showers, washer and dryer, kitchen, chill room and coffee :) Totally worth it. There’s also a beach 5-min away (walking distance) where you can watch the sunset. Totally recommend. Bob - Thank you for the hospitality.

MM30***41We saw a wonderful 1-hour planetarium show (Skies Above Hawaii), The speaker was so interesting that even kids were spell-bound. There are many other shows throughout the day.
东东张西望望东西Just in time for the flowering period, the state park is full of flowers. This is a large park with a lot of tropical plants, trees shaded by birds and flowers, giving people a particularly relaxed and comfortable feeling.
Llove is blueRelatively modest admission fee. I was impressed that the museum's focus deepened the fear of earthquakes. It did. Although this phenomenon is relatively rare in nature, if you meet once, you are either not ready or you don't know what's happening, it floats over. Overall, I did learn some information that I didn't know before, mainly about how technology effectively provides early warning systems for the path of early earthquakes. However, as the narrator says, if an earthquake occurs close to the coastline, residents living in lower areas are more likely to be struck by it.
